...

Some say he'll be back for sure.

Some say he'll stay in Russia and make more money.

Some say he wants more money than he's worth.

Some say his car was sold on Ebay to Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka.

Most people, like me, don't know what's going on with him.

One thing i know for sure is if he doesn't come back this year, it'll be a long long year for us.

I think he's going to be like a lot of these other Russian's, and he's going to stay over in Europe. And if he does, F him.

Any other year they'd be trying to flock here, but because of god damn Goodenow, and his reluctance to accept a cap in the beginning of the lock out, many teams are going to be losing out on some great talent.

I think the Russian League likes the quality of play they had last year with the addition of some NHL talent. They knew that once the lockout was over alot of players would return to North America. To try and keep as much of the top talent as possible guys like Frolov and Datsyuk have been getting great offers from Russian teams to stay.

Basically if you have a Russian player in your system and want him to play you are going to have to pay more than their market value to get them here. If the GM's are not willing to pay more for these players then the can say "da sveedonya".

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Plus they (the players) are going to make more money in Mother Russia than here with the tax situation, 13% in Russia as opposed to 30-40% in the States. I have hope he will be back, but I have a feeling he's asking for waay to much money right now.

So if it's Goodenow's fault, why F the player?

Because they hurt us when they don't play for our team

I don't know if this affects Frolov but I believe there are issues with numerous European players due to the IIHF agreement not being finalized. They mentioned that Svitov and Balastic couldn't be signed until the agreement is finalized in the Columbus paper today because they have contracts in Europe even though they have NHL clauses. I don't know the details only a snipet in our paper.
