What happened to Tim Connolly?

Is it possible he's not even worth 700k?

He came into camp after the lockout in terrible shape. Even reporters talked about if he made the team, it would be not because of his play and that one reporter said "he skated like he was wearing a suit underneath his equipment".

He didn't really perform well in the AHL and with the cap coming down, its been extremely hard to get a contract - he didn't sign a PTO this season and here we are.

I don't think its strictly about the money. Seems to me that he might be the classic case of a top-six player who isn't good enough to play in anyone's top-six.

Did he even get a veteran try out with a team?

Understand he has a concussion risk...but at a bare minimum he would be a good asset for a team if a team wants to go with 3 offensive lines.

League minimum salary crept far beyond his output.

Injuries, very soft play, and the fact that he didn't really fill a defined role on a team.

As a concerned citizen if someone sees him let us know. He hasn't showed up for years now!

Yep, where players like Phil Kessel, Joffrey Lupul, Mats Sundin, Gary Roberts, Curtis Joseph, Ed Belfour, Dion Phaneuf, James van Riemsdyk, Cody Franson, Alexander Mogilny and...

Oh wait, they all flourished here. My mistake.

Connolly was such an odd signing for Burke. Burke didn't even invite him to the Team USA camp.

Connelly and many others went to Toronto to make millions when signed to asinine contracts, get fat and out of shape, then Die, FIFY.

Why would you? Guy was benched in the AHL during the playoffs for lack of effort. Not sure why youd want to go...

I saw him yesterday on YouTube in a Sasquatch video. Guy had potential but just totally injury prone. Too much of a risk.
