Good lord.
And he succeeded Ed Rendell, who was a good governor (after being a great mayor of Philly). Time to return the state to the care of someone who isn't a dolt.

Well this is great news; I'll almost definitely be living in Australia at election time next year, and registered to vote in PA since that was my most recent state of US residence. Corbett's polls are looking so bad that he might be better served to not stand for re-election.
Just curious how long have you been in Australia?

Since July 2010, so a little over 3 years.

Thankfully he doesn't seem to have a prayer of winning a 2nd term.

I can't comment too much on central PA, but I had friends that went to school at Lycoming and Lock Haven and they all said pretty much the same thing. I did, unfortunately, live in Erie for two LONG years. Home of Tom Ridge International Airport (or at least that's what it used to be called). I don't think I need to say more than that.

Central PA is basically Alabama. Basically anything between I-476 and I-79

He probably could have worded it better. But it is obvious the guy is against gay marriage and supports the view on how marriage was intended in the first place. This is unusual from a politician.........how again?

Because it's 2013 and it's no longer considered acceptable for the top-ranking politician in a state to compare homosexuality to incest, bestiality, etc.

Speaking of bestiality, that's Santorum's go-to slur whenever he's talking about gays. And Santorum is from Pennsylvania too.

He probably should have just left it at, "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman." Period. There isn't a lot to elaborate on after that.

Well yeah, but he didn't. If he'd left it at that this probably wouldn't be newsworthy, but instead he cruelly insulted an entire segment of society because he's apparently not an empathetic human being.

Yeah, he could have worded it better by not opening his mouth in the first place.

One of the best womens soccer players married her girlfriend in Hawaii. Why people have a problem with gay marriage makes no sense to me.

Wouldn't you have wanted him to answering the question tactfully, but still honestly?

No, I want ignorant morons like him to not be public representatives for millions of constituents.

Yes. I like it when these troglodytes answer questions honestly. Then I know who not to vote for.

You mean before those modern kooks like the Romans or the Zhou dynasty messed it up by allowing same sex marriage? Does that mean you disapprove of religious frameworks that came after them, too?

I wonder what his position on covering up pedophilia for the benefit of the state college's football program is?

Oh wait, we already do. Fine by Tom.

Ah, central Pensylvannia. The place where true bonding between athlete boys and their coach is tolerated, right?

I really like central PA. People haven't spent enough time in central PA to blast it. People there are nice but kinda fat. State college is a great place to go to school. The fall is nice and their is alot of nature around in every direction. Nothing compared to the west but nice when your used to the east coast.

BTW the governor is from Philly, not central PA! He came in 2010 i believe when Obama was at his weakest and all the democrats from 2008 fell asleep and forgot to vote.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Still doesn't negate the fact that this guy was given a chance to smooth over and defuse comments made by an associate of his, and only ended up making himself look like an ignorant ass in the process.
Muhahaha the best one..

In his own words, he's not a homosexual, he's just a "heterosexual with issues."

Well, he didn't. So instead of just looking like a backward governor, he looks like a crazy, offensive, homophobic, ignorant d-bag.

Which he is. That's why he didn't leave it what you said.
