What line should Tyler Bozak play on?

As a followup to the speculation regarding why Tyler Bozak and Phil Kessel are practically inseparable, I thought it would be apt to gouge our general outlook regarding where Bozak should slot in on a completely healthy contending roster.

The question:
When Bozak (and the line-up) is back to 100% health, which line should he center?

With JVR and Kessel but if not then I can see him playing with Lupul and Kulemin.

How many threads are you going to start on the topic?
Why couldn't you just make the last one a poll?

So that would mean:
Jvr Kadri kessel
Lupul bozak kulemin
Raymond bolland clarkson

I don't mind it, bolland/raymond chemistry, kess/jvr chemistry, but caryle likes a shutdown line, is clarkson a good defensive forward?

I'm going to make 100, just to make you happy.

Real reason: There's no way to edit a poll into the thread. Furthermore, the thread had it's name changed against my will, so I figured scrap that thread and start one that will generate more discussion.

Bozak and Kadri can alternate depending on the opponent and how they're playing at the time. Not that big of an issue.

I like that line-up a lot. That second-line could be an effective "shut-down" line we could match-up against the oppositions top-line, as well as add some offense. When we're up by a goal, put McClement with Bozie and Kulie instead of Lupul. I think that's the line-up we should use, with Kadri and Bozak switching whenever we need to shake things up a bit.

On the top line with JVR and Kessel... JVR and Kessel will be scoring, and it's nice to have Bozie back for defense (That line happens to have a stellar combined +/- rating this year)

I know it's awesome to have Kadri on the top line, but that line may score more goals with Kadri, but it certainly takes balance away from our attack... We can't just leave Lupul all alone on the second line...

The mistake here is letting Bozak get too many offensive-zone/PP starts, let Kadri take 20 mins/night for the offensive situations, Bozak will still play with JVR/Kessel at even strength, but for the love of god don't give him power-play time with them, that should be Kadri's ice-time..

the beauty of our team is that anyone can be #1 through #3 without looking too out of place

Bozak's lack of top 6 skill absolutely looks out of place on the first line. He has no business there, and Kadri doesn't cause enough, if any drop-off in defensive play.

Except Bozak is not better than Kadri defensively. Why have Bozak on the first line when you can have a guy who is superior on both ends of the ice there instead?

Let him play on the third line.

Line 2 or Line 3, Pressbox or ECHL, don't care which just get him off the 1st line.

Bolland/Bozak 2a/2b don't care which is which.

Keep Kadri on the 1st

He's not our 2nd best centre, but he should be on the 2nd line

2a - Lupul - Bozak - Kulemin
2b - Raymond - Bolland - Clarkson

Clarkson/Kulemin interchangeable, I guess it all comes down to chemistry, I think this would make for 2 crazy good shutdown lines.

That second line would be an offensive black hole of people waiting for the other to make the first move.

Lupul - Bozak - Kulemin is an 'offensive black hole'? Bozak is argueably a 50points center, Kule has hit 57points in his career and Lupul has been PPG since last season. You don't know what an offensive black hole is.

I'd like to see

JVR/Kadri/Kessel
Kulemin/Bozak/Clarkson
Raymond/Bolland/Lupul

regardless of who's 2nd or 3rd I think Kadri needs to stay with Kessel and JVR

To be fair, I don't think you can expect Kulemin to ever come close to that type of production again. Seems like that was his actual career year. Should be a solid 15 goal player who is strong defensively. Definitely a guy you could move up and down the lineup though.

That last point is key. Kulemin possesses skills that make him versatile, and a good player to have available when you need to plug holes.

Whatever line Randy Carlyle decides to play him on. Playing on a different line would get confusing and probably result in too many men on the ice
