Allison or Lindros as 2nd Line Center?

Both are injury prone...who would you rather have?

I watched Lindors in his last season and he played at 110% every game with more heart then any Rangers, can still easily average a point a game..im probably going to be the minority, but im voting for him.

I'd definately want Lindros.

However, if both of them want to play for minimum wage in Toronto, why not both

Both.

But if I had to choose, Allison.

Good question. I think we could add Nieuwendyk as a possibility as well...

I wouldn't mind either to be honest...both have their obvious pro's and con's. I think Allison has the ability to play at a higher level right now...but thats just a guess...who knows, playing in Toronto might elevate either one of their games.

I like the idea of both

If you are buying out Nolan and for his 5.6 mil he was going to get and you can land both I say go right ahead ..

Get em both... Allison plays 1st line with Sundin on his wing... Move Matty boy back to the wing. Sundin and Allison would cause alot of problems add someone like Ray Whitney to the mix and you have a fantastic line. That is if Allison can step back in with no ill effects and I do feel that should be the case for him. I also think this past season off for Lindros should do a world of wonder for him also. Guys like Nolan I would hate to see go because with the injuries and such I really think he could come back and become a big time player with the amount of time his body had to rest. Immagine a line of Whitney, Allison, Sundin.. then sending out a second line that was Roberts/FA?, Lindros, Nolan. The second line could be amazing both offensivly and physical but the biggest concern would have to be health. And some may wonder if it would be worth the risk.

Both haven't played in a while. So looking back at their hay days, which would probably be the best judge on their skills, I'd say Lindros easily. But I won't mind either really.

Too bad they don't have a slivate smiley. (or a wishful thinking one for that matter)

I guess we are just going to have to wait and see what the Leafs can afford under the new CBA...but it is fun thinking about lines like that.

We're getting both, and Allison is not injury-prone.

If I had to choose one, Allison.

However, since they can both be signed cheap, I say grab both. Odds are one of them won't finish the season. Play Lindros at the wing, and move him to centre if Allison goes down. I think Allison has far more in him now than Eric though.

Don't forget, if Nolan syays, it's at a reduced re-negotiated salary, and I think we'll do it. Keep him at maybe $2,000,000. I remember an article where he was talking about how ashamed he was to be brought in with such high expectations and to have blown it. He admitted he was overpayed for his production, and if I remember correctly said that he'd like to re-sign.

99-00 Season: (37 Games played) Had left hand surgery on 1/12/00 and right wrist surgery 2/16/00 sidelining him for the balance of the season

02-03 Season: (26 Games Played)
-Concussion
-Grade 3 Sprain on Right Knee, Missed 15 Games
-Returned only to reinjur the knee.
-Suffered a Shoulder seperation
-Sidelined with a hip flexor and post-concussion symptoms

03-04 Season: (0 Games Played)
-Post-traumatic migraines

I dunno but that seems pretty injury prone to me in the later stages of his career.

He's had two major injuries, the whiplash and the hand injury.

That is not injury-prone.

allison, and have lindros as a winger, if not 3rd line center

Roberts - Sundin - Mogilny
Lindros - Allison - Stajan
Antropov - X - Ponikarovsky

I'm with you on this, Allison is not injury prone--by my definition.

It's just like Colaiacovo. He's not injury prone, he just gets injured. To me prone means that his injuries are recurring and are of the same nature. Allison may have had bad luck with injuries, but I won't give him the prone sticker. however, maybe that's only because I don't truly know the situation.

From my stand point being neutral as a Kings fan i'd say take Lindros he is FAR better if playing healthy and Allison is a dumbass and a horrible person to have on the team and locker room ask any of us Kings fans but yes he is good

FYI, Allison was the captain in Boston.

Maybe he didn't like LA.

I've heard Allison is a dumbass, yes. But that doesn't mean he won't be an excellent player for us, and I doubt he would make trouble in a year he has to be the best he can be, even for selfish reasons. Even the biggest jerk would realize he has to not rock the boat and perform to show he's still a top-drawer star -- he wants to make the most money, just like 90% of them.

Fortunately, Allison willing to take less than his talents dictate corresponds nicely with our needs at the moment.

It's a slight gamble for the Leafs, but it will be a low-cost one and those are the only kind an NHL team can afford to make in the new system.

Lindros is more of a gamble because of his concussion history, but he would look good on Sundin's wing replacing Gary Roberts. Hopefully he can keep his head up for the season like he did for the Rangers 2 years ago. That Lindros would be all I could ask for at this point in his career.

Both will be low-cost options up front and I expect Ferguson will take advantage.
