Yeah, not seeing much of him or Lindholm. It's a good thing Allen has stepped it up the way he has.

If he fails miserably, put Beauch back. Fowler and Beauch (so far Fowler has had a decent game) can't kill penalties so far this season.

During a TV timeout the Jets gave Teemu Selanne a little shout out and gave the crowd a chance to applaud the Finnish Flash.

I'd give Sami time to settle down defensively first. His size is really going to hurt him on the PK, unfortunately. Less room to skate, and he's going to struggle against bigger bodies. If you want Franky off the PK, try the Lovejoy/Fowler unit we saw last game. That one seemed to work because they were aggressive. Then you've got Allen and Fistric/Lindholm.

Cant lose to this team. This team is the definition of "beatable".

.... though how many opponents watched the ducks run around in games last year, turning over the puck, and still end up om top at the end of the game...

I don't want either of them on the PK.

That was a good period. If they play like that the rest of the game, they will win.

Edit: Impressed with Fowler, Penner, Allen, and Perrault. Lindholm did not look out of place at all.

You should want Vatanen even less on the PK. He's less capable defensively, and undersized. His strengths aren't well-suited to the penalty kill. You want him to have time and space, and room to skate. That's exactly what you don't have on the PK. For Boudreau, he's probably the last option right now.

Well we need 4 defensemen on the PK and so far 2/6 of them have showed they are near completely inept on it. Don't see what choice we got. PK is UNDER 50%

Again, Fowler and Lovejoy actually made a decent unit last game. I'm not sure how that shows he's inept at it.

We have a lot of choices, and Vatanen just doesn't make sense on the PK right now. Like, at all. The only time I expect to see Sami on the PK this season is in the final 10-15 seconds, when Boudreau is looking to transition the other way.

Cogs needs to shoot that, and have Magnus pot the rebound...if there is one.

Very smart play by Lindholm to jump up there. Too bad Cogs couldn't connect with the pass.

EDIT-Thinking on it, odd Bogosian played the pass as much as he did. Obviously it worked out for the best, but odd to play the pass when a guy like Cogs has the puck and the other guy is a defenseman making his NHL debut.

I hate when they try to force a pass on a 2 on 1. I really do.

Ditto. Unless it's someone like Getzy who seems to have a knack for threading the needle(or making a nice saucer). Safe bet is to shoot, and drive the net.
