I found myself leaning in anticipation of forechecking hits....

The best part of the game was how they took the body EVERY chance they got.

That is how it is supposed to be done. For us to be winners in the future, we need to do that on a consistent basis.

Simple hockey.

It's still strange that Tik is the only one in the building who knew the puck went in.

they really have to add some more games to this rangers classics, i mean i have seen that game on atleast 4 or 5 times within the last 6 months. why dont they show messiers last game or richter retirement night, graves overtime winner against the devils, messiers return to the garden, or gretzkys first game, there are so many great ranger moments/games, but they show the same games over and over, ie the rangers/devils, rangers/canucks.

Agreed. I would love the see the game against the Isles were Lafontaine got knocked out. That was a great game. Too bad it will be remembered for that incident. As I recall, the game was more or less decided and there was a face off in the Rangers zone with something like 15 seconds left and Arbour sent of Baumgartner and Vuckota and others.

I have wanted to see games from the 97 playoffs against the Devils. Problem is, most of those games were on Fox not MSG or FSNY.

The Graves wraparound against the Devils was on Fox, MSG probably cannot show it. Some games I'd like to see include the 79 series against the Isles, the sweeps against Philly in 81 and 82? maybe 82 and 83.

I remember this playoff year. Hard to believe the Rangers fell a round short of the Finals only to not have reached the playoffs since.

I remember Tikkanen's goal from that playoff that bounced off the camera and out, it didn't count until the next stoppage of play!
