How many markets had Lockout Ending as Back Page News Today?

Folks here keep talking about big markets and how they have to sell the sport.

It was interesting this morning on Espn2 they showed the covers of several back pages in the US on the longest professional sports work stoppage ending and we got an idea what the media really thinks of hockey in all these big markets and how bad the the problems really are.

This is a day where there was no baseball, football or basketball was played the night before. The British Open has not started.

Hockey had the stage in North America to itself as a sports story as a business story it had many facets to discuss.

So what did your local paper have today as it's back page story?

New York City gave the Yankees-Red Sox Preview the lead in the three local papers and they did not even play yesterday. I did not check the NY Times. The lockout ending here barely received a spot in the corner or top of the backpages.

Detroit Free Press-I think that paper had hockey as the lead.
Boston Globe-shared back page with Red Sox
Chicago Sun Times-Baseball Cubs/Whitesox were the lead.
LA Times-Lakers Basketball rumors on a player named Brown?
Washinton Post- Preston Wilson goes to Nationals.

So what did your local paper have today as it's back page story?

As a Canadian that travels to the US often, I haven't seen as much NHL coverage on ESPN in all my other trips combined as I have in the last 24 hours.

Lead story, commentators, player comments etc.

For several hours the Sporting News Radio had all hockey talk yesterday evening.

KTLA in Los Angeles has also been covering it at length.

Also in polls on ESPN.com

NHL rated as the fourth favourite sport among web surfers...(ahead of the NBA )

The Philadelphia Inquirer has a lockout ending headline on the front page above the fold. (7 hockey articles)

Philadelphia Daily News (7 hockey articles) has the following back page:

It's naturally been the only thing talked about here in Denver since about 5am (haven't seen the print editions yet, but I'm sure it's front page news there too, based on the online editions' layouts... heck, it was the top story period on the Post yesterday afternoon, not just the sports section).

Here in Saskatchewan in our paper we had the front page talking about Sillinger's thoughts on the end, cuz he is freom here, then. Several articles throughout the sports section about it, It was good.

When the Spurs won the NBA it was a 15 line article on the back page, hockey is number 1 here.

The Columbus Dispatch had the lockout as "the" front page story of the paper, with a huge picture that filled up the entire middle column. There were also about 4 or 5 pages (including the front page) in the sports section. I was quite happy with the coverage.

The Buffalo News had it Front page, both of the paper and the Sports section, including about 5-10 articles about it. When the Bills aren't playing, it's all Sabres here.

Have yet to see the front page of Det. News but....
http://www.detnews.com/index.htm
.....it's front page news on the web.

Was watching local programming yesterday when the local news broke in on the program to announce "Breaking news" on the agreement.

The lockout ending was the first headline on the cover page of the Montreal Gazette, as well as 3/4 of the front page of the sports section.

EDIT: Oh, and the TEAM 990 here in Montreal had the morning show be a "special NHL only" edition of the show.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had a story on the front page (above the fold) and the entire front page of the sports section was about the end of the lockout (except for 2 small articles on the bottom of the page)
