Some other teams giving up three or more goals per game:

Chicago
Columbus
Minnesota
New Jersey
Winnipeg
Vancouver
Nashville,
LA
Anaheim
Calgary
Washington
Florida
Edmonton
Rangers

The two other teams scoring one goal or less per game:

Rangers
Buffalo

The fact this guy think that Laviolette paid the price for giving up three goals a game shows he is utterly clueless.

From what Timmeh Tweeted, Ed Snider will be on CSNPhilly at 5:00 p.m.

anyone have a link to that press conf?

I can't find it and the one on CBS philly isn't working for some f'd up reason, I can only see the 9:20 min of it from the TSN website where Snider finishes saying "That's our Culture" after stroking his wet erect bottle.

The press conference from today? Try this... http://video.tsn.ca/?dl=main/latest/1/0/1018695/clip/0

Oops. Edit. Just saw the TSN reference.

I love that Lappy is one of Berube's assistants. He's great with players. I think he's gonna do an excellent job.

I think I've seen that portion of it MSE - as that only runs just ~9 min.... The one from today was longer, I assume. I'd even do okay reading it if that was available.

Thanks.

Edit: I'm sure a vid of it will be out soon, I can't view the one that is up on the philly site tho, poop on that.

2nd edit: all good MSE, I'll let it slide, this time.... this time... haha

Considering the forward depth though I still don't think they'll be getting the ice time to actually do anything. If you have players that can produced at a 50 pt pace like we all want them to while playing tougher minutes (which Couts and Schenn do, just to a lesser extent Schenn) and like 15 minutes a game you should never trade them. It simply doesn't happen. Sadly the team needed a 2nd line center so they added Vinny but that is just more ice time and opportunities taken away from Schenn and Couts. If you aren't gonna give them that chance then you have to be more patient with them.

On Flyers main site. Conference was not long at all.

Edit: nevermind that video is like 3 minutes

His first interview ( with that annoying toad Pinnacio in attendance) was upbeat. One of the key targets Berube said they'll be focusing on is their play away from the puck. Something that has been a problem for the past couple of years, yet never addressed in the former coaching methods.
He didn't insult Laviolette or McCarthy, he praised them and thanked them for teaching him.
A very classy thing IMHO.
He also appointed Ian Lapperierre as an assistant coach! Lappy is one of the most positive, energetic people employed by that organization, I applaud Chief's choice for an assistant!
Will they improve immediately?
Tomorrow they will get their first win of the season!
The first of many, I hope!

I can't wait to see Chief square off with that chode Bylsma! The language will be peppery, so Coatsie will enjoy every insult hurled at that toolbag!
Good post ! One thing that will help more than anything for the time being will be for our club to stay out of the penalty box........playing 18 mins short handed is a real killer that is tough to over come .

Did anyone watch Barkann interview Snider just now on CSN? That was uncomfortable to watch.

Yep, last year Couts had the hardest minutes on the team... and I think Schenn had the 4th-5th hardest after Talbot, Hall (both of whom missed time/were not here the whole time) and Read.

They both had good defensive stats (Couts excellent) while producing decent PPG (especially Schenn for the minutes he played), so I am not too worried about them... so long as they get some chances this year and a bigger chance next.

Quotes from the Panthers:

Quote:
Barch said Berube's players "absolutley love'' playing for him and will try very hard to make him a successful head coach

Versteeg played for Lavy & Berube, said Lavy had unique ideas, Berube is fiery coach & he expects Flyers game to be intense.

Maybe he is a puppet being operated by an amateur puppeteer. His inexperience means he can't move the mouth without bringing the eyes down with it.
