Hopefully a more defensively responsible system will help him make the right play in time. If he kept skating instead of looking for a breakout the other way he probably would have stopped that chance from happening and possibly started something the other way. Mason bailed him out.
It amazes me that people still refer to Mason as a sieve or think he's still like Columbus Mason. Everything Flyers fans have seen is positive and even the stats he's been posting are excellent. Even with the horrid start to this season his save percentage is still .915 for this season so far.
