So I'm looking at Oceanside Ice Arena and their schedule, and I can't see anything about public skating? It looks like it's pure hockey all the time. Is this standard for most of the ice rinks? That one is closest to my girl's place, and I think it would be cool to go ice skating one night or on the weekend.

Damn, 20 miles to get there, I hate how Phoenix is so big. But I do see they have plenty of public sessions. Thank you!

What did you do at Apple? I know you have told me, but I'm pretty intoxicated when we talk on you stream. I don't know that many people unfortunately, but if what you did is comparable to any job openings I know about, I'll let you know.

Chandler Polar...errr...Ice Den has public skating nearly every Friday and Saturday night...stick around afterwards and you might see my low-level beer league team. (skating over all the zambonied-over ruts left by the public session)

Was late one too many times. My own fault really, oh well.

Left my headphones plugged into my computer last night, which I use for an alarm clock. The alarm went off just fine - into my headphones as opposed to my speakers.

Coyotes to Hold Tailgate Town Hall Meeting on Feb. 1

GLENDALE ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes President & CEO Anthony LeBlanc announced today that the Coyotes will host a Tailgate Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 4:00 p.m. at Jobing.com Arena prior to the Coyotes game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Town Hall Q & A will be open to all Coyotes fans and will take place at the Coyotes tailgating area outside Gate #6 on the east side of the arena. The meeting will give fans a platform to have their questions answered, while at the same time, provide positive feedback to the Coyotes organization on ways to improve the overall fan experience

Busses that pick you up from a bar in the East Valley prior to select Saturday night games and then drop you back off at that same bar once he game is over. Maybe from the Gordon Biersch on Mill Ave to the Gordon Biersch in Westgate? Get a cross promotional agreement with the bar. Something like a beer at each location and a upper bowl ticket for $60 bucks, or something. They're freaking neighbors anyhow. And that Mill&3rd location actually makes the light rail viable for the Coyotes. I live a few miles south of the end of the line at Dobson Rd. I know a lot of people that would go if they didn't have to drive. They could also offer discounted tickets for ASU students.

There's also a Native New Yorker in Westgate, no? As well as one where the US60 and the 101 intersect? That'd be a good location for it.

Also a Big Fat Greek at Westgate and one near the Chandler Mall?

There has to be some chain bar/restaurant in common at Westgate and the Tempe Marketplace, too.

This was done at some point in the past from the Old Chicago at US60/Alma School years ago. Before the bankruptcy.

I'm pretty sure the West Valley knows they are "Here to Stay". They need to remind the East Valley.

Richard Sherman has been the talk of the media as of late and he is certainly now the big story going into the Super Bowl. So much so now that old videos involving him are are getting more attention again.

Such as this one.

BTW, it takes a big man to punch someone in the face while still having your football helmet on in the process.

They did bring back the bus already though the games are too limited and random.

Also, it's not exactly reaching out to East Valley to have it all the way up there in super North Phoenix. Plus, stand in front of a random business in a parking lot waiting? Kind of awkward and unappealing. Nice thought, poor execution.

This is different than what rt is talking about, this one you have to enter a drawing and be picked in order to participate. I believe the old one you could simply sign up for as it was a service not a contest.

dont care for a bus. Prefer my own vehicle.

The distance to the rink from chandler is still a big consideration in which I decide how many games I attend. The traffice can be bad and getting back so late having to get up early for work is something I dont like. The rink way out in boondock glendale is still something that hampers this franchise.

I do love the saturday games at 6. perfect to take the kids to.

I can guarantee you aren't alone. It's really a shame that the arena isn't downtown. I see traffic on the I-10 Westbound when I'm going out to Tempe on weekdays, it's bumper to bumper. It's unreal!

i know it's crazy but I'd prefer if the yotes just scrap the whole Glendale experiment and come back to US airways center and all it's obstructed seats. I'd attend many mroe games.

Yea

Justin Bieber or not, it's always funny to read something out of the dumb criminals section.

And speaking of dumb criminals, Justin Bieber has now been arrested for drag racing and DUI in Miami Beach.

http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/Justin-...241624971.html

Quote:
Singer Justin Bieber was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of drag racing and DUI in Miami Beach, police said.

Bieber may have also had drugs in his system, police sources told NBC 6 South Florida. After his arrest, Bieber admitted to consuming alcohol and prescription medications and smoking marijuana, Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez said.
Quote:
Bieber will be charged with DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired Georgia license, police said.
What a ****ing dumbass!
