GAME DAY THREAD
11/27/2013
7:00 PM CT / 3:00 AM EET / FS-N, FS-WI
St. Paul, MN

COYOTES @ WILD

After a good start, the Wild lost to its division rival the Blues without scoring a single goal.
In that same game, the Wild lost its leading scorer Zach Parise, who suffered a foot contusion.
At first, it was believed that Parise will be out for at least two weeks.
While Parise already did some line rushes with Koivu and Coyle, they still decided it was best for Parise not to play tonight. Still, a great sign.
Keith Ballard, Mikael Granlund and Torrey Mitchell will probably return tonight and F Mike Rupp returned last game.
There's some light at the end of the tunnel..

Line-ups:

Doan - Ribeiro - Moss
Kennedy - Hanzal - Vrbata
Klinkhammer - Vermette - Boedker
Chipchura - Halpern - Szwarz

OEL - Stone
Yandle - Murphy
Schlemko - Morris

Greiss
Smith

Heatley - Koivu - Coyle
Niederreiter - Granlund - Pominville
Cooke - Brodziak - Fontaine
Rupp - Konopka - Mitchell

Suter - Brodin
Scandella - Spurgeon
Ballard - Stoner

Bäckström
Harding

Top scorers:

Martin Hanzal
7 goals, 13 assists, +1 in 21 games

Shane Doan
11 goals, 8 assists, +1 in 23 games

Radim Vrbata
6 goals, 13 assists, +- 0 in 22 games

Zach Parise
11 goals, 11 assists, +7 in 25 games

Mikko Koivu
5 goals, 16 assists, +6 in 25 games

Jason Pominville
13 goals, 4 assists, +5 in 25 games

Good GDT!!

Let's see if our guys can step it up on this one with a little fight!

I give us 50/50 - depends on if we show up to play, or are feeling sorry for ourselves.

Maybe someone should dump salt in Koivu's coffee so he'll come out really pissed

Hoping Koivu goes beastmode, while Pominville stays ready for some slappers.

3-1

If Gromhausen can play, I expect a win.

I'm really looking for a bounce back game from the Wild. They really need to buckle down and play hard.

Good job.

I usually go with last games' lines and then edit them on the 1st post when we get confirmation from Russo.

Even though Phoenix is a good team, I think Wild will take this one. 3-2.

Thanks.

Yeah, I've sone the same before but I was in a hurry when I made the GDT, so I decided to wait for updates on injured players and so on.

E: Added PHX line-up. Unconfirmed, line-up is from their GDT. I will update the Wild line-up once we know if there will be a call-up or if Granny/Mitchell can play.

Not certain. According to Russo, if Granlund plays, Coyle will be 1RW. They'll decide after morning skate whether Granlund plays or not.

I thought it was a foot injury. What is the knee contusion business?

I thought I read somewhere it was on his knee. I'll change it to a foot contusion.

Thanks.

Both Mitchell and Granlund are on the ice in the Wild morning skate.

E: Harding too.

E2: Added Wild line-up. Unconfirmed.

Sixth game for me tonight. Been away from my beloved state for 2 1/2 weeks...and from the X for a little more than a month.

Glad to be home. WAR WILD!

Zucker at least has had some dirty chances these last two games, he just needs to bury one now. He does appear to be trying at least.
