actually, his name is Therrien. but I see why you confuse the two.

Maxpac needs to be tried with our best centre. His name is plekanec. Adding max to that line could turn it into a 2-way behemoth.

Maxpac - Pleks - Gionta
Egg line
Prust - Briere - Bourque
Moen - White - Bournival

That first line will shut down the best players in the league and still rack up goals against them.

It's time to make Eller a healthy scratch. Got to keep him hungry. Double shift Desharnais with the Gallys.

You know, I like that duo also for the little things they do well. But I want more goals from them too. Or, if not from them, from another line.

Starting from the idea that they stay together, there aren't too many options at LW. I think it goes radically one way or the other. Put Pacioretty there and power it up to a 1st line. Or put Moen there and shutdown any chance of offence from the other team.

If you cast them as a shutdown line, then you keep Pacioretty and Bourque as scoring LWers, both with size and good skating. I think the logical consequence is that you shift Galchenyuk to centre. Now we're in business!

Bourque/Pacioretty -- Eller/Galchenyuk -- Briere/Gallagher

Move in Prust on the wings from time to time for some energy or defensive presence. Desharnais gets banished to the 4th line (and PP duty, as a specialist) or the pressbox, and you put together a 4th line committee of White, Prust, Bournival, Parros.

Double shift DD with Gionta and Briere.

It can be called the microscope line... Because you need microscopes to see them.

Haha wow, mind fart! Well, I must say Therrien isn't impressing me this season, its probably the cause of my confusion

I can't really argue that with a guy using a Larry Robinson avatar. I mean really, we should clone some of these Habs legends in vats, have them practice in secret while they grow up then draft them in 18 years.

Hah, only Gallagher does that. Therrien won't impose this on his beloved veterans.

I really miss the 'gotta keep 'em hungry' meme.

Yeah, I really don't like Prust playing exclusively on the 4th line. He's too good for it. You throw that third line out like a true exploitation line and try to catch the other coach sleeping. No defensive zone starts if it can be helped.

... Was it really a possibility, or just a dream of somebody who actually has nothing to do with the lineups?

If it's the former, well, one would think that DD HAS to play well against the Oilers, or he's scratched.

So, any news on our lineup? (Bournival)

Throwing out retarded line combinations like they're going out of season. And I've never found stupidity to be harmless. It's viral.

Also listened to the earlier segment with Michel Villeneuve. Just embarrassing. Goes past the scope of this forum, though.

There are just some people in this city's media that I would kick in the balls if I passed in the street.

Yeah, its so easy to know that with Bournival's zero points in one career game. Bournival is an energy player and will have to play his way up from the fourth line if he wants to play in the NHL. I don't know why people are struggling with this.
