Wow! Not as bad as Daley / Koscheck, but the video / gif clearly show one last crank after the referee dove in. Wow. How quickly one stupid decision in the heat of the moment can change a person's professional life.

Worse than Daley / Koscheck imo.
What Daley did might look worse on TV but a joint lock has a much better chance of doing career threatening damage than that punch did.

I don't like Palhares at all and was all for a very stiff penalty, but this is a little too harsh IMO.

i think this punishment is perfect. this kind of **** is disrespectful towards your opponent and thats something dana white doesnt tolerate. i expected this and am glad even tho i liiked watching palhares. this to me is no worse no better then what daley did because its the same thing only a joint lock instead of sucker punch.

On my phone, no video.

He had Pierce in the standard Palhares ankle lock, Pierce tapped, the ref jumped in and Palhares gave it one last crank before he let go. Haven't heard anything about Pierce being injured, but it was perfect broken ankle / torn ACL/MCL/PCL situation. Basically the same thing he did to Drwal back in 2010/2011-ish.

Rosey Paul Harris is a saint. A simple minded one. He wouldn't hurt a fly, despite being a cage fighter. This banishment is an abomination.

Being stupid is not a valid excuse. If he cant figure out to let go of a sub when the ref tells him to he deserved to be banned even if only for his opponents safety. It doesn't matter if he is doing it because he is a jerk or just dumb.

I wasn't really being serious and I'm aware of his history. But, when I first saw the finish I didn't think it was as bad as it was made out to be. Here's a video.

If a fighter taps out because he feels like his ankle is about to break and then you twist it again it makes you a *********. No way around it. I'm glad they banned him.

this is the 2nd time he has done this in the ufc and the 4th time in his career he has had to be pulled off some one. There is video of him at the adcc championships doing the same thing.

Good way to tear someone's ACL.

Adios muchachos, one less dangerous fool around sending the wrong image. It's not like it's his first offense, he's done this his entire career, at least 4 times.

Pierce is really lucky if he's not injured, his foot looked like it was in a total 180 to me, or very close to it.

You have to ban him to keep a good image of your sport. It's a good move and the right move by Dana.
