The first lines confidence looks ********, specifically Eberle's.

The effort was fine, the finish was off.

Yakupov. Does. Not. Look. Good.

An Oilers insider estimate it'll take 30 games for the players to grasp the system.

Terrible game. 1 goal against Budaj? Pathetic.
Yea but Eller was totally scared of doing it because the Oilers dressed Brown and Gazdic.

He's going to have nightmares tonight for sure.

Ive watched ~65 games a year for the past 7 seasons. At some point, Id just rather spend that time doing something else when 2/3 games aren't even that fun to watch. I don't begrudge anyone for holding out for those good games, but Ive had enough for now.

They got crushed. This game was as close to an easy win as hockey provides, and they only managed one goal, against Montreal's backup.

Periods of good play, but as usual there is no consistency. RNH, Hemsky and Belov were the best Oilers for me. Hall, Eberle and Yakupov gotta step it up big time.

The one where the post saved his horrible positioning twice, and where he completely screwed up reading the play that led to the 2-1 goal.

This team is going nowhere and my passion for the team is waning more and more with each failing season, this one looks to be no different. It's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel as of now.
Alright, see you later.

suck bad for Ekblad!
Pretty much. Not to mention is seems to me no one wants to shoot the ****** puck and just stay on the perimeter. Just get the puck on net and get greasy.

Yakupov doesn't look like a #1 overall talent right now. Not even close. Better get his head straight soon.
Don't forget that Yakupov has been shown nothing but ****** wingers for a majority of his career so far. He's not being treated like a 1st overall winger.

I'm not taking his side, but we must keep in mind that it's easy to lose confidence when you have to create offense by yourself.

Again though, he is a 1st overall draft pick. He should be able to get past this.

My changes for next game? Put Hall on the third line, put Perron on the first and switch up Eberle and Yakupov.

Most of them were.

EDIT: I was thinking of the switch near the end. Hemsky was the RW on the second line. Whoops.

I'm stressed out, give me a break.

When Yak got benched it was Ebs being double-shifted, not Hemsky.

That, to me, is stupid.

I am actually getting really tired of Smid these days. Guy can't move the puck, died on his stick so many times. Also Arco is brutal.

Not sure why all the yak hate, he created chances. Budaj was really good, could have easly scored 3-4 that game.

Budaj was 8-1-1 last year. Just saying.

So much energy burned on nothing.

This team needs to look at some ****ing game tape and stop trying for the tic-tac-toe play every time. We outhit, outshot and controlled the play for the majority of the game. With all of the supposed talent on this roster, the results should've been a hell of a lot different with their back-up goalie in net.

I'm glad I didn't shell out a half-G for tickets this weekend.

Even Calgary would destroy this sad-sack team.

And this is one you can't blame on Dubnyk guys. We're running out of pariahs.

Yep, no question about it. Better overall player for sure. Yak might have a higher offensive ceiling but Galchenyuk does everything well while Yak has major holes in his game that i'm not sure are easily fixable.
