Yes Seguin has 1 pt but how many does Erikisson have 0. My opinion is you trade our top player who was 21 you think he would show up or show flashes in one of these 3 games played IMO.
he has shown flashes, you just didn't notice them. that's basically it.

Cue the panic! Seguin scores on an absolute bomb on a one timer 10 feet inside the blue line (I think it was Peverly with the drop pass assist).

Still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to make any conclusions about this trade one way or the other.

Michael Ryder numbers.

I saw the game against the Avs and started to wonder for a second but then said what the heck. I don't care what comes out of the trade.

3 games played. Iginla has zero points, Marchand has one assist, the whole top-6 outside of Krejci was pretty invisible last night... Just chill out. The Bergeron line always starts out slow. Once they get rolling, they will for the whole season. Loui made an incredible pass to Bergeron who whiffed on it last game, got robbed by Giguere, and hit a post. He's going to be fine. A player like him is literally the least of our concerns. He'll do what you expect him to do, it's just ridiculous how badly this board overreacts. A pile of gunpowder that explodes when the wind blows the wrong way.

Marshy has a goal. Lucic has 3 points. Iggy is playing physical fitting in really well with his line. Bergy has a nice goal plus his two way game looks good.

My bad, it was a goal for Marchand, not an assist.

If you're going to count Iggy playing physical as his excuse, then you have to include Eriksson's two-way play. He intercepted a lot of pucks, cleared out some bad rebounds, and stopped quite a few chances last night.

Not fair to compare him to Seguin, a second overall, already has a goal and 3 assists and his 3 rd game isn't done yet ...

I haven't noticed his two way play out there yet. He isn't good in the corners. 3 games in though no reason to panic.

Iggy is known a notoriously slow starter, but I can see that Bruins skillset there.

Makes me think what if Dallas had offered Erikson to Edmonton for Taylor Hall .... they would have laughed and hung up on them.

What does Taylor Hall have to do with Tyler Seguin and the Boston Bruins? Bruins never could have had Hall.

Well he's better than Eriksson, anyway. So there's something in common.

I don't know about after tonight, but going into tonight, Eriksson's Corsi rating was much higher than Seguin's. Seguin's was negative, which basically means his line was being dominated.

Seguin was at 46.2% through the first couple games, Eriksson is 63.9% through three games. Still way too early for any of those numbers to matter. I'm interested what Seguin's corsi ends up this year, he was over 60% last year so I'm curious how much of that is a result of playing with Bergeron who's as good a positional hockey player there is in hockey (and we'll see if Bergeron's can go up playing with the supposedly better defensively Eriksson).

I don't know much about the CORSI rating, but I do know that Seguin has been involved in every goal for Dallas tonight.
