He is playing alot of minutes, and playing them against the other team's top lines. But what you have to realize is that he's been bad in that role, he might be an okay 2nd pairing d-man on a good team. AMAC is playing those type of minutes because outside of Visnovsky and Hamonic their defense isn't good, so he is getting pushed into minutes that he can't handle. Ideally AMAC would be a #4 on a good team, you certainly don't pay 5.5 million for him.

thats alot of solid seasons vs tough competition
Aren't you the guy who suggested last Summer to go for Hunwick (who doesn't even play in the NHL anymore) because of his corsi stats. Watch more hockey instead of reading numbers and going ecstatic.

I think he is playing Left D. But Macdonald is a pretty soft d-man. I think habs need to look for more grit.

Big time. I'm not sure I can see WPG being patient and waiting it out, their best players are getting into their prime years.

I am in disagreement. I think Simmonds is quite overrated and if his value is what HFBoards says it is, count me out. Hartnell is awesome and I think he'd fit really well in Montreal but, I don't feel his cap hit and age are a good fit for the team.

Kane yes.

Wheeler is a big guy, but not exactly intimidating. He's not a very physical player and he's horribly inconsistent. So... I don't think I'd want to move the assets it would require to get him.

For me, I think I'd look at.....

Byfuglien, Kane, and maybe Setoguchi. Setoguchi's a lot like Bourque in terms of what he brings to the team but, I think he'd be a good risk to take considering he's UFA next year and has some untapped potential.

I think I'd honestly consider seeing how Meszaros would play once he leaves Philly. He was a very good defenceman at one point but really seems to have lost his mojo. Low risk-high reward type of trade considering he's UFA next year, we might get lucky. Not sure how we'd fit the contract in though.

Ya wheeler is weak. Was in Winnipeg for the Habs game in October Wheeler is lazy.

Kane is a cry baby. Every shift

Peg is doomed

If Diaz is going to be the odd man out with Markov and Subban needing deals, maybe PHI could be interested in having him play w/ Streit

For my part, from Winnipeg it's Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien. I'll be ready to give Plekanec, Bourque and Beaulieu for them. It was Rick Dudley who brought them to Atlanta from Chicago in 2010.

Well lucky for us you're not GM. Plek is an inspiration for this team, he's the little lockomotive that never stops and to trade him would be to get a star player.

Happy for you, but don't expect to get good players with our crap like Desharnais and Moen. You've to pay the price for getting Ladd and Byfuglien. Don't misunderstand me. I'm a big fan of Plekanec game he's ones of last guy I want to see go. But having Ladd and Byfuglien would be good additions to our club.

I like it, and if we did that now we'd be A LOT more difficult to play against. I'd rearrange the lines like this though :

Patches - Galchenyuk - Gallagher (Galchenyuk just has much more offensive upside than Eller. Gallagher is our best goal scorer atm and cant be playing on the 3rd line)

Bournival - Plek - Gionta

Hartnell - Eller - Bourque (Can you say best 3rd line in the EAST? All over 6'2. Hartnell and Eller are strong powerforwards, Bourque has a big body and a good shot. This 3rd line instantly makes our team that much better when you compare it to a third line of Leblanc - DD - Bourque. No More Soff)

Moen - White - Prusty

I don't mind the 2nd, 3rd, Bozon for Hartnell. We've accumulated many prospects over the past couple of years, and adding a guy like Hartnell would be key moving forward. I'd prefer Simmonds, but he'd be much more expensive considering he has one of the best value / money contracts in the league.
