Guys I'm VERY concerned with:
Regehr
Clifford

Guys I'm mildly concerned with:
Frattin
Voynov
Mitchell

I think we have fixed the 4th line, but the 3rd line is still a huge mess (IMO).

I really hate complaining about the refs, but my god they were beyond bad. How many trips were missed, 8? Then the last two on Williams and Stoll just as bad. No need to get into the bad 4 on 3 in OT, t was self explanatory. Real glad we got the win but the 5 on 5 play has to wake up .

I thought this was a much more consistent effort than the other 4 games so far. The finish wasn't there, but I mostly blame Ward, who decided today was the day to show up. Too bad, I consider him pretty inconsistent and was hoping for a blowout.

Mitchell is still slowly improving, which is nice to see.

All 4 lines *mostly* rolled in and out smoothly, all contributed but just couldn't convert. No real complaints from tonight's game. Regehr aside, of course, but what's the point?

The Canes are SO fast! It was a fun game to watch, and it's always cool to see someone score in an unexpected situation. Of course I'm talking about King with the shorty and not Carter in the SO!

Things are starting to come together bit by bit.

Was at the game tonight. There was a decent showing of Kings fans! I don't think I've ever seen a game where the puck was flicked into the air as much as it was tonight.

Overall, I had the same observations as the rest of you; King played well, Voynoy and Regher not so well. I was amazed at how easy King seemed to be able to separate Cane defensemen from puck behind the net and in the corners using just a little speed and his big body. Thought Mitchell showed signs of his former self. Fast and fun game!

Nice two points to start the road trip. I'm a Kings fan first and a Canes fan a distant second (I live in Charlotte, but grew up in LA). The game ended exactly as I hoped it would: 2 points for the Kings, 1 point for the Canes.

Its looking more like Frattin replaced Richardson -- not playoff Penner.

I understand that plus/minus can be the most useless/misleading stat, but Regehr is the only king with a plus 1. Everyone else is a zero or a minus.

Yes, he's slow, but the opponents aren't scoring when he's out there.

Just saying...

Thats because he is the only Kings dman with a PDO >1

Quick is bailing him out and rocking a .95% save percentage when Regehr is infront of him, he is still bleeding shots against

So far in this short season, he is the only Kings dman giving up more than 10 shots/20 minutes. Alarming since he plays alongside the best dman we have who used to give up low 8's for shots against per 20 until Regehr arrived

But Mitchell is more worrying. He is giving up twice as many shots as we are getting with him on the ice

Mitchell is catching up. Best game of the season for him.

Same for Brown. Doughty, too.

King... well yeah. Great night against a tired team.

Frattin.. dude, Bernier is tearing it up in TO. You have to produce. Looking like a genius on the third line is great, but it is not enough. Keep this up and you'll get the GM fired.

Nice win.

I had to run out a wee bit early...and heard that Quick made the save while I was two doors down...and running for a bus... I was just lucky that we didn't go a few more shooters...or I would have missed that bus...

Luckily none of our 3-point games have been against division rivals and two of them were against teams from the East.

I just got done watching my recording of the game. Is it just me, or was their A TON of cheers and Kings fans in the stands after King scored that shortie. I don't think Ive ever seen so many Kings fans in an away building other than while in Anaheim and Phoenix.

I'm all for getting rid of Stoll and Regehr's contracts ASAP and going after Vanek and Girardi. With the cap going up next year that's doable.

A win is a win. ES pressure was at least there tonight, moreso than any other game so far this season. Ward played very, very well. I'm just glad we didn't give up 3 tonight.

Step in the right direction. Some dudes gotta go though.

i know it's cool to hate on Regeher right now, but for everyone saying we should get rid of him, who exactly are you goign to replace him with? We played without Regehr before and we know that doesn't work. It's the reason why we got him to begin with.

The worst part is that we are dry in the farm in this area too.

Let Martinez and Muzzin be regulars. Both of them would be upgrades over Regehr. Regardless, I bet Sutter would not think so..

Muzzin-Doughty(Doughty did say he would prefer to be with Muzzin over all other D)
Voynov-Mitchell
Martinez-Greene

Muzzin would absolutely be an upgrade over Regehr. Like others have said, Regehr's advanced stats are absolutely atrocious, enough so to drag Doughty's down. That's significant. There's literally nothing he does right. He can barely make a first pass, zero offensive support at the point, he's slow, he gets beat constantly. I would say he can still hit but he's so out of position 90% of the time that's irrelevant.

Every single Kings fan will despise that trade and extension by the end of it, if he's not waived in the meantime.

Our D is a huge concern this year and if nothing changes we won't do much in the playoffs.

Heck, I even think Bodnarchuk is a solid upgrade over Regehr...
