P.S.-I'm not watching it, just listening to the NYR radio broadcast as it's my weekend to work.
Was just going to post something like this. The trouble in Vancouver had nothing to do with coaching. Now they are headed out of the playoffs and struggling. look disorganized.

Good times.

Wasn't he mentioned in trade proposals around here last week or so? I'd puke if that jackwagon ever donned the Oilers jersey. Isn't there a rule about instigating a fight in the last minute, plus the helmet punt? I'd say a pretty steep fine is coming his way.

All he's missing is the red rubber nose to complete the character.

I can't believe goals waved off due to interference with the goalkeeper aren't reviewable. The call seems to be wrong more often than it is right. A really weak call just screwed the Leafs out of a goal.

It boggles my mind. Yet other things like "kicking motion" (which, arguably could be more contentious) are.

LA should have declined the penalty.

Flames playing a very disciplined gritty game.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they are struggling nearly as much as I thought they would with these injuries.

I'm assuming you didn't watch their last game. Completely outclassed by Anaheim.

Everybody else seems to think that Ramo is stealing this game, and that Calgary is lucky to be winning.

I don't know, I just turned the game on, but the ****** game thread is very one sided.

It feels like this entire game has been played in the Flames end.

Ramo has been very good but the Flames have been playing a pretty solid road game in general.

I think they play a very strong system which allows them to compensate for their lack of scoring and remain in in most games.

Ramo looks like he is starting to adjust to the smaller ice. Good pickup for the Flames.

Just as I post that Ramo gives up a suspect goal.

Yuuup, after making a bunch of great saves he lets that shot in. Ouch.

Still, he looks much better than Berra. Which makes me wonder why it took Hartley so long to put him back in the net.

Voynov looked like an Oilers defenceman on that game winner

Like em or not you gotta respect the fact that there is no quit in the Flames.

They grind out a win against a very good team in LA.

Despite all their injuries they maintain a 4 point lead on the healthy Oilers and still have a game in hand.

It's funny, as soon as I saw that Calgary won late, I was like "guess who's going to post, any second."

A little obsessed with me...eh Catface?

Just because I am not a fan of the team I can still respect what they are doing in Calgary.

I like their grit...I like their defence (when its healthy) and I like their system.

I have a lot more respect for their coaching staff and Management than I do for the Oilers.

I am a disillusioned Oiler fan to be sure because they are in year 4/5 of a never ending 'rebuild'.

My team is lost in the frozen tundra so I have had to look elsewhere to watch good hockey. I watch a lot of hockey and I like what a lot of teams are doing.

I cant help you if you have a problem with that.

I agree... full props to CGY for pulling off the win tonight, no questions asked.

I don't think the Canucks quit playing for anybody, this is just what they are. The fact that they played in a division that had Edmonton, Calgary, Colorado, and Minnesota all bad at the same time is the only reason they were winning the President's Trophy.

Not only did the previous setup give them 22 games a year that were almost certain wins, it also meant they could take it easy on a lot of nights and save their energy for decent teams. That's gone now, and the results are predictable. Put the Canucks of the last few years in the Pacific Division, and they're a 5th-8th place team, maybe winning the division in 2011. LA and San Jose sweeping them out of the playoffs in consecutive years despite finishing below them in the standings was very telling.
