Of course its both sides. For some reason, the Dems are considered saints around here.

Really? Should someone really do that? Wouldn't you end up looking like a decidedly non-neutral opportunist, like these guys? If you're enough of an adult to realize that this whole mess isn't Obama's fault, you're probably above shameless photo ops like this.

In some cases it's both sides. In this instance it is not.

It doesn't make you seem more intelligent or fair to create a false equivalency.

Just pointing out, the other side could do the same thing. I bet some of the left leaning sites would be all over it.

How is it both sides? Really, please explain. Because the Democrats aren't willing to give in to the absolutely unreasonable and childish demand that they defund a bill that was passed years ago and is now being implemented?

**** that. One side is to blame here. The party of "hell no" that has acted like tantrumy toddlers since January 2009.

What is interesting enough, is that the budget is broke up into separate bills and sent to the Senate. Bill that have nothing to do with ACA, but Reid will not vote on them.

It is normal to break the budget up into small section to keep the size of the bill down. But lets not bring any logic into this. Place a CR on ACA, pass the rest of the spending bills to put us trillions more in debt, and let them bicker about ACA longer.

Nope. This is a metaphor for the entire government shutdown. It's the Republicans who are acting like children. Small wonder that their supporters are also acting like children.

That is my opinion. The piece of legislation needs some serious changes. How about the fact that the Dems refuse to acknowledge that there needs to be some serious changes to it?

Yeah, it's funny, people usually love it when Jebby creates this kind of thread about five times a day. Weird that they disapprove when Misfit does it!

So the Dem's should let the Rep's keep passing bills that fund what they want until they get it all funded except the things they don't like, like the FDA, Food Stamps etc...

Perfect way to create a budget.

It's done. It's over with. The Republicans lost the vote. And they lost the next presidential election in a landslide. You don't get to hold the government hostage because you lost the vote. You don't get to subvert the democratic process. You just don't. And if you try to, it is you who is to blame, not "both sides."

It's fine if your opinion is that the legislation needs serious changes. However, the time to voice that opinion was in 2009, and presumably you did. Then your side (for all intents and purposes - I know you're going to claim you're non-partisan) lost the vote. The Republicans are acting abhorrently here. The least you can do is not pretend they're justified in doing so. At least you can be the adult in the room that they're not.

The only thing not funded the way the Dems want is ACA.

I think the last bill had a bit of Dem support in the House.

Its the way the Constitution is written, sounds like the Dems need to play nice.

One speaker went as far as saying the president was a Muslim and separately urged the crowd of hundreds to initiate a peaceful uprising.

"I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up," said Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, a conservative political advocacy group.
Why won't Obama compromise with the voices of reason clearly displayed at this event?

You do realize that defunding or delaying the ACA would be catastrophic to the law and to insurance companies? Their actuaries have built the fact that the law is happening into all their prices for next year. It would be a cluster****. Not only that but Obama won't let his one piece of landmark legislation fail thanks to the domestic terrorists in the Tea Party

There is no way to persuade someone who is unable to comprehend simple facts and not worth my time. Your post about funding bills and your response after the fact are gobblygook. There's no reasoning with an idiot or troll. I'll let you decide which you are.

We know we're dealing with reasonable people when they invoke Nazi war crimes.

What is it with people on the right and comparing everything they don't like to Hitler? Is there some IQ cut-off point below which you equate everything that pisses you off with Hitler?
