What exactly is Edmonton's excuse? Not enough 1st overall picks?

Don't worry, you will get another good 1st overall pick and a nice draft party to go with it in Edmonton.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch....season is only 6-7 games in.....i'm sure you don't need the reminder of the epic collapse in game 7 last year now do you??

Ya, because the Leafs were picked by everyone to beat Boston.

Your logic is like saying "Well ya, you banged the hottest girl in school, but then you broke up..."

it was still nice to have the chance....no?

True but the year before that (the year before the lockout) TO was a playoff team sitting comfortably in 5/6th till what Burke called his team falling off the train tracks and lost like 10 games in a row. So how close is EDM to starting 1-9-1? Who do they play in the next couple of days? Because if EDM does lose like 8/9 in 11 then do you really think you will make the playoffs?

He was decent in Anaheim. Do they want him back? No.
He was Vezina caliber in Phoenix. Do they want him back? No.
He wasn't so good in Philly. Do they want him back? No.

I'm noticing a trend, and it's less about how well he did for the team and more how well he would be welcomed back.

Making up trends without looking at facts doesn't count.

Anaheim has 4 goalies that could be in the NHL.

PHX has a budget plus they Smith and Greiss(who is playing well).

PHI, well they've had how many goalies the past 10 years? Plus they let Bob go to another team only to become a Vezina winner.

I agree that he is making up trends, but the Coyotes situation isn't exactly as you make out either. Smith was about to be an UFA and they hadn't picked up Greiss when Bryz was bought out. They showed absolutely no interest in someone who would almost certainly have been much cheaper than Smith. They simply wanted him nowhere near the team again.

It's so cute when Leafs fans gets cocky because they made a playoff appearance

Is signing a player who was once traded by his franchise after they couldn't agree to a contract common?

Apparently since Bryzgalov's tryout has ended he has gotten 1 NHL offer but declined and is waiting for others. I wonder if it was the Oilers who made the offer and as such they are trying to deflect any idea that they'd be interested in him.

Looks like this thread is mostly insults and snipes now. The rumour has also been partially debunked with at least the NYR saying they aren't interested. As for the other teams, nothing appears to be happening.

Closing.
