Okay thank you. The Ducks are selling their game worn jerseys on ebay, would be cool if the Preds would do the same. I will keep my eyes open.
The Ducks are using Beckett as their jersey marketer ... who then sells through ebay. Beckett isn't much better than Steiner when it comes to jerseys ... a lot of minimal wear, no guarantee of wear in any certain game, etc. "The Ducks nor Beckett Media warrant its wear in any specific game."
A 1972 Summit Series jersey went for seven figures. 76-77 Orr is listed for roughly $70k. Miracle on Ice Morrow jersey is at over $30k with about a month left in the auction. $20k list price for Messier.
None of my gamers cost even close to those numbers ... hell, all of my gamers don't equal that much.
and it's good to see they're maximizing their profits by not putting more than $1500 bucks into their website.
This season the Preds are wearing two sets each of home and road jerseys. Set 1 ran from the beginning of the season to roughly New Years. Set 2 will run for the rest of the season and playoffs up to the SCF.
I just find it abhorrent that the kiosk that sells the gamers in the arena has overpriced things to absurdity. I don't want to pay 450 for a Jerred Smithson jersey, but I do want one. I don't want to pay 750 for a Hal Gill jersey, etc.
These are "last year's prices" ... bring 'em down, and I'll pay
$750 for a Gill at the arena? Way over priced. Smithson shirts go $295-395 full price and usually hang around until the twice a year sales. I bought mine a couple years ago for $165 including shipping.
