True. But it still doesnt explain why we have blown so many multi-goal leads.

The schedule was brutal, but we should still be able to beat Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. At least 2 of those 3. I mean hell, we had Edmonton beat. We probably could have beaten Calgary with a better effort in the 3rd period.

I wasn't really trying to make any excuses but its got to be tough for any team to start off the bat with a brutal road trip to the west coast, I mean all teams are trying to find their footing at the beginning of the season but it has to be extra hard when you're trying to do it on the road.

Honestly I prefer getting the west coast trip out of the way early. The amount of back-to-back games is ****ing stupid though.

Prevents any sort of routine from getting going. That is a ton of time to be spending in western Canada right off the bat.

Obviously other issues, but definitely not helping the team work any kinks out.

It's not the best, but this team was their own undoing by losing a 3 goal lead and 2 goal lead on back-to-back nights. If they held on to win at least one of those games, if not both, they're sitting on a lot more confidence while heading out to Calgary. The attitude in the locker-room had they won those two games would have been completely different.

Again, not saying it's a good schedule but those 2 games, especially the Oilers one, were their games to lose, no matter where they were playing.

Yeah, at least we didn't have to play any of the California teams.

excited to see Teddy out there. I wish he was being centered by Lokti though, put Trav down on the 3rd line to grind it out, it's clear he has zero creativity.

Deboer has been reading our comments:

“He’s a great kid,” DeBoer said. “There’s a lot to like – great personality, very likeable. So, he’s got a lot going for him. Again, when we’re making a lineup, we don’t look at birth certificates or nationalities. It’s trying to put the 20 best guys out on the ice to help us win a game. None of those factors really go in, so, hopefully, he can help.” - See more at: http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/f....FkP5DANR.dpuf

well he definitely tricked me

If we lose tonight, would anyone wanna start a petition to fire Pete? Kinda like the goal song thing. Maybe we can submit names for who we want to see as head coach?

LOL that's right up there with the quote about Barch and Janssen being good skaters, and guys who can make a play with the puck. You can definitely tell he's a lawyer.

And Volchenkov too.

That pairing is just diarrhea. It's so bad. The defensive pairing of one of the competitors in the NHL lottery bowl.
