Is there a reason for this? Maybe we are getting paid and that's pretty telling of how bad our financial situation is. It's not like we are in the east for a road trip.

My guess would be this more about bonding and keeping the team focused during the first long break.

They are going from Winnipeg to South Carolina to St. Louis. They could've picked a place between Winnipeg and St. Louis. I don't really see why we'd choose South Carolina.

Why does it matter if it's a bonding trip?

Yeah, I think you're reading way too much into this. They need to get away from St Louis. They have a week between games. Its a team-building destination. I just hope they don't play golf in carts.

Team bonding trip, and uh yeah I'd much rather be in South Carolina than Winnipeg.

I hope concentration just isn't lost during this. I really hope the team focuses on the ice and not goof around or take it easy.

I hope they don't think about hockey 24/7 and enjoy their break.

If I recall correctly, the owners of the Coyotes used their Charleston visit as leverage for negotiations with the city of Glendale on the arena.

Are the Blues ownership and SLB Holdings asking for improvements at Scottrade? It is probably a leverage thing as well.

Damn I was hoping they meant Charleston IL on Eastern Illinois' campus, which is only about 15 minutes from my front door.

I've been to Arcola, Ill on a road trip a few years back, old Amish order, the Raggedy Ann and Andy museum is there and the Hippie Memorial! and uh, uh, that's about it...

Anyway, It will be good for the Blues to get away from the lou for awhile.

You forgot the world famous Broom Corn Festival lol, but yeah you pretty much summed the town up with a nail on the head. Even though we do have a Monnical's, Dairy Queen, Subway & a McDonald's now, so we're moving up in the world

Sorry a bit off topic but why not, the blues came up last year for 3 days in whistler, i work at the arena, they rented the ice for the 3 days, had open practices, they signed gear for the kids, it was pretty cool.

They came before a vancouver game

Yep! Been by Pocahontas many a time visiting buddies that went to school in Lebanon at McKendree. Though I never actually spent any time there, is it a pretty nice place, oh wait isn't Pocahontas the home of the Foot High Pie!?

Not really much there except the 2 restaurants, which are pretty good. That pie is like $4 or 5 a slice but it is so worth it!

I think he just took a day off practice after getting dinged up a bit. He hurt his foot blocking a shot, but the team is reporting an 'upper body injury'. I've not read anywhere about him being expected to miss a game.
