As a Canada fan, I'm not sure if I really trust Price in such a position. I'm not convinced.

(And it breaks my heart saying it! Price had way too much hype to start off with, it's pretty bad, thinking about it now)

Only Price himself can lose his spot. Can't wait to see canadians hockey fans cheer for him.

I ain't even mad, although I'll admit, I'd be more comfortable with Luongo as the starter considering his experience and playoff success (finals choke is overblown imo)

Price had 2 good games, he have potential I agree, but he haven't show constancy lately and that's the big minus.

Olympic's man it's bigger than the Montreal Canadiens, if he doesn't handle the pressure in a city why would he be ready for a whole country ?

Still I hope he'll be better than Luongo/Brodeur (Who were amazing in 2010) (If he makes us lose to the American though, I'll hate him forever )

I'd trust him more than most of the other candidates.

I'd probably into olympics with Luongo, Price, Crawford/Ward. Luongo won the gold so he has the experience, Price is probably the best goalie of the bunch but isn't proven under the NHL play-offs or Worlds situations, Crawford/Ward give you a cup winning goalie that you know can perform in the high pressure situations.

Price has only begun to prove himself, imo.

He just played 2 great games...

Now let's see more.

Luongo and Price are locks at this point anyway.

Team Canada MAY want Price to be that guy only because he's young, talented and has potential to be a long term solution in goal.

Fact of the matter is he may not be THAT guy. He hasn't distanced himself enough to assume such a role. He'll prob be on the team but guaranteed starter? Doubt it.

I'm hoping if we have Luongo, he's 3rd. You need to prepare for the future and Luongo isn't the future of Team Canada.

Price/Crawford/Ward would be ideal but I think Ward gets replaced by Luongo.

No way in HELL would MAF be on the Olympic team. The guy is an implosion waiting to happen in every pressure situation. The fact he won a cup is baffling.

It's overblown, you don't prepare a goalie by playing a few guys at Olympics.

Guys who play for the cup are battle tested. Guys who play world championship can be too.

It's an exaggerated reason, like Olympic hockey can make a goalie a star just by them being in it.

Goalie needs to be good to begin with. The rest is just experience that may or may not make a difference.

Said it earlier and I'll say it now... the job is Price's to lose. He was a lock until his slump last season and opened the door to competition. As long as he keeps playing like he has this year the job is his.

And I think he's the right choice.

If he keeps playing like he's playing right now then he deserves to make the team. It's his job to lose

Hes only played 2 good games? He's been the best player for every game that he has won. So that's at least 4 good games.

Is the standard so high that he has to steal a game before you can call it a "good" performance? Because he has flat out stolen 2 games already.

Price and budaj have been doing wonders thus far. Our record could and should be worse

My early rankings are price , Crawford, luongo in that order.

Ward and maf have fallen off the radar IMO. A hot mike smith could make things interesting.

You put a dynamite team in front of Price and he'll be lights out. Book it.
