Is anyone else getting a little nervous about Poile's sudden reticence when it comes to the free-agent subject? It seems like before and during the lockout, he was going on and on about being able to compete for players we never could have dreamed of...but now, all of a sudden...while many other teams are discussing what they'd like to add\what they have in mind, Poile seems to be rationalizing? "Well, er...we're not really anticipating...er...need to sign our players...um...probably not going to be all that active...."

Full season of Sullivan or not...this is a team that barely slipped in to the playoffs...and some teams(Phoenix in particular) that missed last year should be considerably stronger.

And chicago! Don't forget they added Cullimore and Barnaby, not to mention having a rested/healthy Daze and Thibault.

I'm not nervous. On an interview on The Zone this AM Craig said he didn't want to tip his hat to the other teams with regard to Free Agent signings. I think they are keeping a lower profile on the issue.

I tend to agree with you. And plus, if they set low expectations for us fans, then we'll be super excited when the only person they sign is anson carter (joking).

Now... I seriously am asking this question because I want to know: what would be wrong with Anson Carter? (I'm not an Anson Carter nut, just would like to get the opinion of you people here...)

Remember when Poile traded for Sullivan .... we were all pleasantly surprised when it was announced.

I believe that Poile and Leipold have several things up their sleeves.

My only concern about Sully is that HE DID NOT PLAY last year.

It's gonna be a wild ride the next few days.

Woo hoo!

Are you ready for some HOCKEY?????

The only way I see Sullivan not being back in Nashville is that he doesn't want to come back... and if that's due to money or a dislike of Nashville, I couldn't tell you. But I feel they'll make an offer. How much...

for as tight-lipped as Poile and Leipold can be...they've mentioned several times that they'd like to re-sign Sullivan(Remember last time, they wanted to lock him up, but they could only come to agree on a one-year deal) and that he's with Johnson as far as guys we NEED to re-sign. I have my own opinions about re-signing Johnson, I admit...at the moment...we do still need him, I just hope we sign someone to play on the top two lines so that Johnson isn't misused in a top six role he's not really fit for.
