He literally is a fraction of his former self.
Would absolutely love to trade him while value is still high and the book is out on his effort level and attitude.

Nota great locker room guy either.
You don't know that. At all.

Another game where our opponent got more PP's than us. It's starting to become a ridiculous trend, and it's frustrating because I don't know what can be done about it.

Complain to the league publicly? Be ready for fines and even worse treatment by the refs.

Complain privately? They probably already are.

Start diving again? It's a double-edged sword when the refs catch on.

Can't complain about it this game. Too many silly penalties, pucks over glass, Bieksa tripping.

We haven't yet beaten any average/decent team in the west or the east and the team thinks "their playing well and improving".

Higgins is hardly the problem, he's a solid two way player. Booth on the other hand sucks, and he costs twice as much.

Booth is a waste of a roster spot and 4 million in cap space.

People need to calm the hell down and realize something ...

Columbus is on an upswing. They have been for a year or so. They have a solid lineup. It's not the Columbus of old.

Not true at all. Who do we have right now to replace Booth that would do better?

skate harder and draw more penalties. There is absolutely no conspiracy towards us, high skilled teams draw penalties as defenders cannot contain them. We are not that type of team. We are not a skilled team, we are a "work ethic" team.

Anyone else think Johansen looks more like a 3C than a 1C. He's only young but he just doesn't impress me.

There were some evenly called games early on. Then it degenerated, again. Canucks must address this somehow. Seriously.

Canucks did not win or play terrifically well but it was a back to back game. Lack continues to look like he is an NHL player, thank god. Tortorella does stuff that's fun to watch. This team is entertaining. When they gel together and become more comfortable, I think they can make the playoffs. They are .500 on the road and a little better at home. That's possibly good enough.

Hamhuis continues to amaze.

The team needs to make a useful change and they must know it. I think after the road trip, they'll call up some kids and try for more attack.

We could have somehow signed Grabo , Roy or Brunner to a bonus structured deal that would have made it possible to start the season with Booth and then buy him out the instant he was cleared off IR. Someone may have picked him off waivers too

Are you actually saying we buy out booth (not compliance) after he comes back from IR?

The only calls the refs blow that **** me off are the ones committed on the Sedins. Those ones are so ****ing annoying to watch and not get called.

Booth is on pace for 8 goals and 25 points, while being a significant detriment to the production of his linemates due to his abysmal hockey sense. He is helping the team about as much as a 4th liner right now.

Okay, maybe I put more into the "no doubt Burrows is missed" part than the rest of the post.

Yes without Hank the Canucks would be in real trouble, knock on wood.

I mean I was all for Brunner signing here to be honest but I'm not even sure how we were to fit him under the cap.

It's still funny how people were spouting off about a "transition" year and then here we are talking about buyouts and signing FAs.

his career has been mismanaged from the start.

Considering that and his still young age he still looks like a very vialble top 6 forward in the NHL for most any team going forward.
