Good point but he struggles from the left side too. He needs to develop a quicker pivot and get the mindset of truly battling for the puck ie take a hit to get puck control. With the pp time he gets his assist count is OK but he needs a solid 2 way game.
Yup, the lack of experience on defense is showing. The Sens have a very young blueline after Phillips and Methot,and Corvo i guess but he isn't going to play every game and has never been the poster boy for consistency.
That blueline is going to have growing pains over the course of the season
Plus even in the best of times, better off considering Corvo a 4th forward on the ice than to expect him to play defense
Agreed, I've been pleasantly surprised with Corvo early, he fits our system well. Gryba looked a little lost early, but I chalk that up to missing most of training camp. He's settled down nicely the last few games. Both of them I feel bring more to the ice than Wiercioch at the moment.
