FLA is 2nd worst yet Campbell is sitting at a team high +4.. Not bad for someone that doesnt get sheltered minutes and averages 25min+ per game

I would take him in a heartbeat..

Yeah I'd have definite interest in Campbell. Not sure what the asking price would be though.

I'm guessing Smid.

I think Ehrhoff would be a great pickup.

What do you think it would take? We obviously need to make sure we don't take back more than about 2 million in the deal. N. Schultz and a 1st? Smid and a 2nd? Smid and Marincin? I don't think any of our high end forwards would be necessary either, and i don't think any of our lower end forwards have much appeal or cap-hit to make the deal work, so that is why I'm proposing d-men.

I give Klefbom + 2nd for Ehrhoff providing he's as good as when he signed that deal.

If we need them to take cap, put N. Schultz in for a 4th

Right on, I'd be 100% on board.

I was on the Ehrhoff bandwagon a long time ago. Problem is, he has a NMC. I don't see him waiving it to come to the last place team in the West.

How about this

will get flames and I am not going to post it on the main--your reactions will be plenty

Sabres give up
Miller (who the oilers sign for 5 years)
Stafford
Ehroff

for
Klefbom
Oilers first in 2014, 2nd in 2015
Gagner
J Schultz
Nick Schultz to send some contract back

Of course two players coming will veto any deal-- but just for amusement

Here's a few trade proposals, probably off on value for some.

To NYI
Hemsky

To Edm
Martin
Lee

To Nas
Eberle
Klefbom

To Edm
Jones

To STL
2014 1st

To Edm
Stewart

To LAK
M.Roy

To Edm
Clifford

Wait until offseason to upgrade in goal. Hopefully land a good UFA.

Doubt the Isles go for that.

That's a big overpay for Jones, IMO.

Stewart is interesting. Not sure he's worth a 1st, especially ours.

LA deal looks doable.

My action plan, after a day spent procrastinating from schoolwork:

Yakupov FOR Seth Jones (I'd be down to add a little more to see this done, honestly it does make a lot of sense for both sides though. If they want a D prospect back we could toss them a Musil or a Gernat-or both-and still come out smelling better.)

N. Schultz, Marincin FOR Stafford (Schultz is a just a cap dump, this is a move to get a legit top 6 'big guy' in for a B level prospect. Replaces Yakupov with a guy that provides a little more 'balance')

Waive Labarbera and keep Bachman up. Watch the market carefully for other goalies. Don't bite just yet. Dubnyk back to his normal form prevents us from having to do the old knee-jerk... but if one of the Ducks guys shakes loose for example (even Andersen) you pounce.

Joensuu-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Gagner-Stafford
Perron-Gordon-Hemsky
Smyth-Arcobello-Jones
Gazdic, Acton

Ference-Jones
Belov-Petry
Smid-Schultz
Grebeshkov

Dubnyk
Bachman

Smiles.

lol @ people thinking the Preds are going to trade Jones for Yakupov. Keep dreaming, after the Radulov situation I'd say Yakupov's value to the Predators is lower than any other team in the entire NHL. They wouldn't touch Yakupov with a 10 foot pole IMO, especially for the future of their franchise.

and Stafford is awful, I hope we stay far away from him but I have a real bad feeling about that one.

No interest or room for Hemsky. Isles moved Moulson because they rely on speed and did not want to give an already slow skating, 30 yr old $5m per on an extension.

That is beyond horrific. Stafford has almost no value.
Just brutal

Why do people on hf who have no idea but a player talk like they've watched them there whole career? Have you ever seen Hesmky play? One of his best assets is his speed.

Anyone know of any Euro goalies who have been playing well overseas and might be worth offering a contract to. Not saying someone to come over and step in and save the season but someone who can at the very least add some depth to the position.

Alot of these you've ignored what the other teams needs are. Playoff teams rarely trade roster players for picks/prospects mid season unless there are cap issues or what not.

Isle fans wouldve done a "GTFO and AINEC" if the deal that went through was proposed on the boards here
I not giving up a 1st for Miller, if I give up a first for a goalie it is for a goalie who is younger.

Yikes.

Take out the 2 best pieces (JSchultz & Gagner) and even then it's debatable.
