What about that "young puck moving defenseman" Gilly brilliantly stole from Buffalo in the Hodgson trade.

I remember I was pumped when Yannick Tremblay played his first game for the Canucks and scored 3 points. I think it was against the Hurricanes.

Playing the Devils & that's gotta be a team looking to shake things up.
Showcasing him for a possible upcoming deal with the Devils?

hmmmm....would they be willing to take a flier on Booth in a package?

Why Alberts is still here is a mystery. He's total garbage, and the coaches clearly know he's total garbage and have no confidence in him.

Likewise, Sauve is crap. Wasn't good enough for the AHL last year.

Do not understand, at all.

If we have 11 forwards, call up Archibald or Pelletier - who have both had good starts in the AHL - and give them a look.

This '8 defender' stuff has to end. It's fine if you have 8 good defenders, but when the guys we're carrying are this bad ... what's the point, exactly?
My thoughts as well. If you're going to call someone up then a forward like Archibald would make sense. This is bizarre to say the least.

This is bizarre. Really all there is to it. If he's being called up to play forward, I don't know why they wouldn't opt for players they've already had up (Dalpe, Hamill), veterans who haven't had a shot yet (Pelletier) or prospects who may be green but could use the experience (Grenier, Archibald). Calling up a D just to play forward is weird. And if he's being called up to play D, what does that say about the organization's confidence in Alberts (horrid) and Weber (not as horrid)?

Bizarre.

mgmt team has nothing but to blame themselves. why resign alberts in the first place. and sign weber? if they are gonna call rookies or scrubs to take their place.

Injured his shoulder during the pre-season, hasn't played yet. He's still on the Canucks roster as an IR player, but has been waiting in Utica in the meantime.

Love me some Sauve, been quietly rooting for him since we drafted him. He's always been a project but I think he's going to carve out a decent career in the NHL.

I noticed Bieksa shaking his hand/wrist after being hit early in the NYI game. He didn't miss a shift but perhaps it swelled up post game.

This move makes no sense, if it's a trade who we moving? Everyone has NTC. Maybe Gillis is trading Tanev? Maybe Tanev holding out for more money rub Gillis wrong and with Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis and Garrison all having NTC and Corrado stepping up has made Tanev available for forward help?.

Let's just get rid of Alberts. Nothing personal, but if we keep playing the guy under 5 minutes a night and he is making over $1 million, might as well rid ourselves of him.

He's making $600K. We could demote him to the Comets and his cap hit would be well below the $925K threshold.

I'm really digging to find the logic of this call-up, but I can't find any.
Dalpe counts while down in Utica.
But Burrows can be put on LTIR retroactively and can come back at any time, now that he's missed 10 games

but yeah, this callup makes no sense.

Friend: Yep.. I'm afraid so
I haven't messaged him back since. He probably thinks I ran outside my house screaming incoherently like the world was about to end. (close)

They see his role as trade bait ala KCon. With the top 4 + Tanev + Stanton + Corrado that's 7 Dmen ahead of him for a very long time. He'd also has to get by any Weber types that are still around.
