I can hardly speak 15-20 phrases of French, let alone write it. I am English though. Overall the standard of English from the French speakers here is brilliant.

Je recherche un defenseur defensif.... lol
I was in a Francophone FHL league once... I can understand most of the verbs ,b/c of a background in Spanish and Greek... The rest of what I needed I learned as I went along (joueur, rondell, etc)... but my writing/speaking was (and is) terrible... Fortunately, most people were capable of reading English and we were able to 'practice' with eachother: they in English, myself in French... It's been a couple years and I've forgotten half of what I learned, I'm sure...
I have a great deal of respect for anyone comfortable enough to write in a language that is foreign to them!

Bravo, mes enfants. (You can insert the accent marks with Num Lock on by depressing and holding Alt while adding 130,131, etc. on the keypad at the right.) When you release the keys you will see é, â, etc. appear. You'll have to experiment to find the keys you want.

Bonjour?

Bon? Mauvais?

Merci. Merci.

I tried.

Apologies in advance:

Bonjour,
J'mappelle Liam. J'ai 23. Je suis fan de Canadiens depuis 1993. Je suis de Anglaterre.
Adieu,

Liam

(Just a quick question, would it be OK for me to write Salut rather than Bonjour? I'm useless at remembering which is acceptable when)

Allo tous mes amis!

Both ways are just fine. I'd say 'Bonjour' is a more polite way, and 'Salut' is a friendly way.

I gotta say, your french ain't bad at all! Same goes for a couple of others who posted in french previously.

Thanks. It's been 9 years since I studied French and I could probably dredge quite a bit more up if I really tried. I am much better at reading French. I quite often mistake genders when I write/speak French, because they don't exist in English.

Salut mes amis!

If you really studied french for 5 days like you said, then you are really a fast-learner. Your french is very good all around.

That was like perfect! A couple of gramar mistakes like mon equipe preferee, but who doesn't make those mistake in frecnh?

I can't wait for Habs_Fan to come rip my french apart
