I was looking at the Blues out of curiosity, and i realized I had no idea what the average # of players is.

Blues should have (arranged by country):

US - Backes, Shattenkirk, Oshie(longshot)
Canada - Petro, Bouwmeester
Sweden - Steen, Berglund
Russia - Tarasenko
Slovakia - Halak
Czech - Sobotka, Polak(longshot)

so 9 probable, 11 possible

Highly doubt Bouwmeester makes it onto Canada's roster.

Montreal :

Canada : Price, Subban
USA : Pacioretty, Galchenyuk ?
Czech : Plekanec
Russia : Markov, Emelin
Switzerland : Diaz, Andrighetto (?)
Slovakia : Budaj
Denmark : Eller

Probably 10, maybe 11.

It's not 100% but i think if he maintains the level of play he's had so far this season it's going to be hard to deny him a spot, particularly when LD are a lot less prevalent. Also, Hitch is in the coaching staff for team Canada.

Canucks:

H Sedin, D Sedin, Kesler, Edler, Hamhuis (possible), Luongo, Y Weber.

Hamhuis makes it if the Canadian brass decide that they care about having defensemen playing on their natural side (which it sounds like they will).

Had Denmark made the cut, Hansen and Jensen would likely also be there.

Canucks are looking at:
Lu
Kesler
Edler
Henrik
Daniel
Weber

So 6 definites, and 1 maybe in Hamhuis. 1 didn't qualify in Hansen, and 2 are Canucks property but aren't on the roster in Latvians Kenins and Indrasis.

Not really hard to deny him a spot, Canada has absurd depth on defense. JBo is probably in similar situation to Spezza here.

Did Germany qualify? Also, Lucic has a chance, but I wouldn't count on it.

Oilers:

CAN - Hall (longshot)
RUS- Yakupov (longshot), Belov?, Bryzgalov?
SWE - Omark (longshot)
CZE - Hemsky
FIN - Joensuu, Hartikainen
DEN - Larsen
SVK - Marincin (longshot)

Anywhere from 3-5 would be my guess.

Edler is not a lock for the Swedish team. He's also suspended for the first two games.

Doubt Bäckström makes it honestly. Finland has Rask, Rinne, Niemi and Lehtonen. I can maybe see that Bäckström makes it as the third goalie, but he won't play any games.

No, Germany isn't in.

Lucic is making a case for himself. Krug may be a longshot for the U.S. squad.

Will Florida or Tampa Bay have anyone (Stamkos being injured)? Does St Louis go to Canada?
