Offensive zone faceoffs. We need to win them more often I feel.

Meh, hockey is a game of mistakes and played with humans. Stuff will happen and very rarely, if ever, will a period go without a mistake.

It's just about minimizing them and they did a good job of minimizing them as well as playing to their strengths. At any rate they're doing a hell of a lot better then their first nine games.

Funny thing to me is that I actually can imagine that having had happened in Phoenix.

Agreed, I see a guy like Berube who played over 1,000 NHL career games & had to do it the hard way. It's more encouraging knowing that, the guy definitely picked up a lot of stuff over those years.

I've found out why Gus is scratched today. In an interview he said that cheesesteaks are overrated.

I'm glad that we not only have a goalie playing like a great starter finally, but one who also knows what to do with the puck.

Anaheim clearly wasn't happy with their first period. They've stepped it up in the second.

Playing like a smart team and utilizing our strengths. Hitting everything, limiting most long passes to the offensive zone, protecting the puck with their bodies, working the boards, blocking shots, and having faith in the goalie to make the needed saves and play the puck.

I remember when Coburn was looking to be a stud two-way defender for us, boy were they the days.

Just started watching...and I couldn't believe it. The Flyers actually made 6-7 straight passes right on the tape. Then when Anaheim came up the ice with the puck, the Flyers had 4 guys back!!! Been a couple of years since I saw that happening.

Coburn and Grossmann have looked good

Coburn has even been looking really competent with the puck so far and skating like the wind.

Roo and Vinny are dynamite and Raffl is like this year's Leino; great complimentary player
