Unfair to penalize an active GM. If the two GMs agree to reverse the deal then it should be allowed.
Part of being a reserve is inheriting a team you didn't have full control over
Right, but I dont think thats really the issue here.
The issue here is that the original GMs may not be as committed/active to the league as the reserves would've been.. and for them to replace an inactive GM after just 2 blocks and they already traded away a big name player.. well thats not fair to the GM coming in when the league essentially just started.
which is why I suggested starting a 4-5 block period for New GMs to not be allowed to make their 2 season trades (I'd say allow them their depth trade though) that way if they last passed that amount of time, they at least earned the reputation of being active enough in the league. Thus allowing them to make their trades..
I keep getting the error that my team is over the salary cap level, which I'm not (team salary about $57.5, cap is $64.3). I can't fix it manually since I'm not over, but when I opt for "Asst. Coach sets best roster" or whatever, it just keeps giving me the error. Short of turning off the cbox or quitting to dashboard, I can't seem to escape the roster management menu.
EDIT: It appears I can manually fix it if I reduce my team salary to under $54 million...so, sending down Cammalleri, Giordano, and Ian White. Unfortunately, I can't call them back up without repeating the problem, so if any of you are wondering why my three best players are stashed in the AHL, that's it.
EDIT: It seems like I can sent guys like Jones down instead, so maybe its not so bad. Weird, though. There's simply no way I'm close to the cap--I had like $10 million in cap space....

I'll reboot my xbox in a few minutes and try that. Otherwise, we can either just assume that the problem will resolve itself on the advance, or boot me.
EDIT: Rebooting didn't help, but as long as its just me, there's probably no cause for concern.
Not just you, my schedule is empty even though I should still have 3 games this block, my stats page is empty, and I'm gonna go ahead and assume my call-ups are messed up also, although I'm not gonna mess with it so I don't wind up with Weber in the minors.
When I go in the contracts page: Salary Cap: $64.000. Cap hit: $62.485. Cap Space: -$7.342
I did notice at one point last night GMC was running really really slow. I have had issues with data loading at times in different leagues. When that happens sometimes games/stats/schedule are messed up. Hopefully that is all it is. I have not had the issue this block at all and finished all my games last night.
