TSN.CA NHL POWER RANKINGS-Bolts 5!

"This Week 5
Five wins in the last six and D Matt Carle is handling big responsibility on the Tampa Bay blueline -- Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis are only Lightning players that have more than Carle's five even-strength points. "

http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/rankings/nhl/

It looks like we peaked early again

Not sure I'd go as far as 5th but certainly top 10.

The team didn't like all the attention it got all of a sudden. All we had to do to fix that was to mess up our next game on national TV. Genius.

Still 5!

"Five wins in the last six for a team that is unbeaten (4-0) when the game goes beyond 60 minutes. G Ben Bishop (2.15 GAA, .925 SV%) has seized the starting job and the Bolts are getting secondary scoring from the likes of Alexander Killorn and Valtteri Filppula, who have combined for 23 points. "

I think we're 9th or 10th, realistically. Which is still pretty awesome.

Expected. Unless and until we can show we have wins without him, I imagine we'll slid in everyone's polls.

No surprise TBH. We just lost one of the three best players in the world to a longterm injury.

Now it's on the team to prove them wrong and to show the hockey world that we're not a one-man-team.

I partially understand their reasoning but is is the loss of Stamkos really enough to justify an 11 position drop? Maybe if we had lost Bishop but offence has not been an issue unless we have been playing Boston. I really hope this team proves the "experts" wrong. There is no doubt losing Stamkos will hurt the team but I really do not think it will be as detrimental as some are making it out to be.

Stamkos was 40% of our offense. That's a lot to make up.

Stamkos out indefinitely. No word on Salo and no top 4 ready guy in the organization. Between those two things, yeah I can see the drop.

The experts don't know Cooper and Marty as well as they think they do, so they'll have a surprise.

Just slippin' back under the radar and no one will see us coming... again At least that's what I'm hoping for. Lure them in with the "No Stamkos" bait...

This is a great opportunity to grow as a team and then later comes that return of Stamkos to what could be a well oiled machine if they play it wisely. Could be a great push.

It's all about the silver lining!

It's hard to be under the radar when you're leading the eastern conference by 3 points

And yet we're doing it. :p

On the MTL post-game show last night, they were talking about how player for player they were a better team and should have beaten us.

I still maintain the belief this team will come out of this situation much stronger than we went in.

Well, Cullen is a Lightning hater but you can seemingly justify a drop, depending on your logic. Cooper has been able to handle huge drops in talent in the past, so it remains to be seen how it all transpires. As for the ranking, who cares, the only ranking that matters is that we are #1 in the east and if we hold through November even Cullen will have no choice but to bump us back up.
