Just got back from an exam to find out ET and Lavoy are gone!

I never cared what the return was as long as he's outta Philly. Hell yeah.

This an extremely deep draft, I am sure we can find 1st round talent with many of our 2nd round picks.

What do we have now, 2 first rounders (top 3 hopefully and top 12ish) and...7? second rounders?

I know this is off topic, But in a season that I can't even watch my home town team, I've really enjoyed rooting for the Thunder.

Kevin Durant is awesome

2 x 1st rounders and 5 x 2nd rounders in 2014.

Sixers have mad cap flexibility. They probably will still be a lottery team next year so they can pay off Boston with two of the 2nd rounders and then commence the rebuild after securing two high end players with their 1st rounders this year and maybe nabbing a decent second rounder. Not sure what FA's they can get this year but they will probably have better buy in from FA's next year. Nice measured plan by Hinkie...similar to what the Bulls did.

Now that they've dumped any ET and Hawes, I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if we could get Nerlens some late games IF healthy.

Yep. Don't want to rush him but if he feels good and is cleared, why the hell not?

Isn't LeBron James a free agent this or next year? That would be pretty ridiculous to get him in here with MCW, Noel, and whomever they take in the draft this year. Won't happen, but still.

There was an article on Philly.com laying out the scenarios in which they can get Lebron, basically it said that they'd have to get Wiggins in the draft and with Wiggins/Noel/MCW, Lebron might be enticed to anchor this team, but that the talent will be there.

Its ludicrous to even talk about it, but is it as far fetched as thought? Maybe not.

So what would the team look like?

PG-MCW
SG-LeBron
SF-Wiggins
PF-Young
C-Noel

Did they trade Young yesterday? That would be pretty insane if that was the team. I am not a LeBron fan, but good grief I would be if he played here.

No Thad wasn't traded, his contract is difficult I guess. Also, I think the Sixers want him to be part of this.

I'm not a BBall guy so I really don't know any positions. I thought LeBron was a shooting guard but whatever. Haha. Makes no difference to me.

Yea, but he's huge and strong, he can play forward, Wiggins is a skinny nothing right now.

I'd like them to somehow get Wiggins and Randle. Maybe you can package the NO pick, Thad Young and like 15 2nds?

It's nice that the team is finally doing what is needed to compete in the NBA.

So looking at some mock drafts and some have taking dario saric with the 2nd first. Now I saw one interesting player who is around thar pick, Doug McDermott. From what i read he is a pure scorer who makes most of his shots. (Averages around 25 ppg). His problem is he is not athletic enough to play sf or big enough for pf defensivley. But can the 76ers current coaching staff improve the athletic part. He does get called thr best "college" basketball player, not nessisarily a nba player though

A lot of people love Dougie McD because of the big point totals he puts up. But at the NBA level he isn't going to be able to guard anyone, seriously anyone, and his offense is going to be adversely affected by better defenders. He is a 6'8" forward with a 6'8" wingspan and poor athleticism. I think he is a guy you bring off the bench for some offense for about 20 mpg, nothing more. His ceiling is Jason Kapono/Kyle Korver. It would be a travesty if the Sixers used their second lottery pick on him.

One thing we know about Hinkie is that he likes high character players that have good athleticism, wingspan, and size for their position (MCW, Noel). Saric and McDermott don't fit all of those attributes.

Outside of the first 3-5 picks this draft is really overrated, and after about pick 10, it is quite ordinary.
