For all we know, it was just 2 GMs talking about trade possibilities and a beat writer got word of it and put in on twitter. This doesn't mean a move is imminent. No need to refresh the page every 5 seconds. I'm willing to bet GMs have talks like this more often than we know, and nothing comes from it.

Maybe it is Chris Dreiger for one of:

Quinton Howden

or
Nick Bjugstad

It could happen, but it would really depend on the type of return that we could get for him.

Yeah could be something to do with driedger(if there is anything). Lots of fla forwards that could help here.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Lehner is fully ready yet to take the starting job? He still has issues with his rebound control.

Anderson has the same problem.

Agree with you. 1-2 combo of Andy/Lehner is best for now.

But of course there are always the "lehner is the future" and "he's a generational goalie" crap that's plastered on these forums. As if having 2 good goalies is a horrible horrible thing.

It's not even close to the same situation. Andy has had a bad stretch of games, but on average it really isn't close. Lehner has always had rebound issues.

Lehner can improve and fix this issue, but I don't think he's quite ready.

Anderson has always been known to have bad rebound control and is the more experienced goalie. Maybe Lehner won't have these issues his whole career hes still young.

It will probably be minor league player we no longer want for another minor league player we have never heard of. I don't see a blockbuster happening at this point in the season. Add in the fact that we would have to come out even or even drop in real salary, and I am kind of hoping the scale of the trade is really small.

No point in making that trade then, Stefan. Murray isn't looking to improve Bingo. If it's happening, it's for a prospect that has some good potential at least; or for a proven player.

Acquiring someone like Howden or Shore is hardly a blockbuster.

it doesn't have to be a blockbuster to be worthwhile. If Shore is groomed correctly he could be Fisher type player.

Rebound issues really ...Sounds like nitpicking to me

Rebound control is pretty important for a goalie.

Yep...Lehner has had rebound control issues.

Anyway, if it is someone in the minors I'd like "VT3" from the Panthers...he looks like a pretty promising player and most talk about him probably being a winger in the NHL. If his two-way game holds up the way it sounds he could be that possession player that Spezza would benefit from on the wing.
