I'd be schocked if BM traded Anderson to completely rely on Lehner at this point in his career, he's a rookie remember. I just don't see that happening at all. I also don't see Talon trading any of his prospects, he likes to hold on to prospects but there are a number of veteran players he would like to trade including Tomas Fleischmann, Boyes, Versteeg, Gomez, Gog, Gilbert, Gilroy and the list goes on. From that list Fleischmann LW is really the only one I would be interested in because he is the most consistent & Ottawa needs more production from the left side. Mathias would also be a good target for Ottawa if he would be available.
Even though tim thomas is a good goalie, i don't want him. He not only already got injured once, but he got injured again and the panthers have only played 12 games.
same injury, means poor medical staff clearing an injured player too soon, especially a guy pushing 40. Trading Anderson earlier than later may be a good idea, hes coming off a lights out seasons with Ottawa and his value is probably as high as ts gonna get. One bad season and were left with nothing, in contrast, he could possibly have another great year for the sens (its up to sens management to predict). Personally, if we could get Timmy Thomas id be stoked, his compete level as a goal tender is off the charts..I truly think hes the reason Tuukka Rask has been so impressive. Thomas could really help Lehners mental game, further improving the monster. But like others have said if a trade involving Anderson were to happen, Thomas would be the "throw in" as another Florida player would be the target. It will be interesting to see how it turns out
