Bryzgalov to Edmonton #tsn
7:13 PM - 8 Nov 2013

I wonder if the ink will be dry in time to face the Flyers on Sat??? And I don't think Edmonton is done and Smid isn't the 'big trade' that is rumored.

I don't get it. Isn't Smid what they're lacking, a gritty heart and soul player? Now granted he's probably having as bad a season as the rest of the Oilers but that return is awful for what I view as a top 4 d-man, and to a division rival to boot! Bryzgalov can potentially be an upgrade in goal but really, there has to be more to this.

It's the old create a hole by filling a hole. Dave Taylor had this one down pat. The Oilers must be just loaded with d-men to unload Smid . /sarcasm

At least MacT never fails to give us a good laugh.

Sounds like Hemsky may be out the door as well. Traded Smid, signed Bryzgalov, and now giving Hemsky the boot. This is going to be funny.

I thought the Oilers said they weren't going to move Hemsky over the summer?

The biggest winner in the Oilers signing Bryzgalov is Mark Spector because he finally gets to see a bunch of goals get scored. Fun!
Good stuff as always.

Well... things worked out for the last team that traded a couple of roster players to make room for Bryzgalov, didn't it?

It was about time. I missed Bryz and thrilled to have him in division.

Or just d-bags who create fate twitter accounts of legit [I use that term lightly] tv/print journalists. Hell, some clown has a fake Bob Miller twitter account.

Gives me a laugh that Bryz is going to Edmonton after the talking about how cold that place is.

If Simmer gets moved to EDM, I look for him to become their captain.

For what reason. What has he done to be a captain, except be overrated by a terrible Flyers team. My god simmonds is overrated.

He's the type of gritty character leader they need in EDM.

Sick little goal by Kessel to take the lead vs the Devils. He took it in the middle, skated through the whole team from end to end, went through the middle and straight up beat Schneider with force. Prettiest non Kings goal I've seen in awhile.

If there is 1 thing Edmonton has a surplus of, it's NHL caliber defencemen.

Bernier gave up a flukey tying goal there, tipped it into his own net
