Hey guys, you think Anaheim would take Richie and a First for Penner? All that playoff experience could help us out right now!

Yep, but Penner is 7 years older (and 50lbs fatter)I think since those days. He's like a +12 now , which is a head scratcher for sure.

So... we're pretty much the only team that's lost to the Rangers so far... sweet.

Chemistry can go a long way and it's not like he's lighting it up. 2g, 4a. He's a +12 because Getzlaf and Perry.

Don't tell that to the Ducks fans, they think he's the 2007 version. Lets see how they feel around game 42.

Leafs are hunting centers due to injuries and OIlers might be shopping Hemsky and Yak

http://spectorshockey.net/blog/lates...vember-5-2013/

From the above
TSN.CA: Darren Dreger reports Toronto Maple Leafs GM Dave Nonis is searching for a forward “preferably a center” to fill the void left by injured centers Dave Bolland and Tyler Bozak.

NEW YORK POST: Larry Brooks reports Oilers president of hockey ops Kevin Lowe, GM Craig MacTavish and special advisor Mark Messier took in the Anaheim Ducks-NY Rangers game at MSG last night. Brooks claims the Oilers are “believed accepting offers for veteran winger Ales Hemsky while “exploring the market” for sophomore winger Nail Yakupov

Hemsky would have been nice in the pre-Carter days, but I can't see us taking on another skilled right winger, that's murder. Wish we had a team that could fit him though.

Yakupov would be a dream, despite what people would say about his defense. The Kings, while struggling defensively, can afford to have a forward like him, of his caliber. I am sure the Kings organization can turn him around, plus we have a positive connection with Russian players. The main problem is the Oilers are going to be looking for a King's ransom for him. If we still had Bernier we might have been able to pull it off (though I dislike the idea fixing Edmonton's problems in the slightest). They are going to ask for something stupid like Voynov + Toffoli, or Forbort + Toffoli + 1st or something stupid like that.

Not interested in Hemsky or his glass head, esp with a 5M pricetag.

You're right about Yak, and the price might tied into something the Oilers need badly, like a quality defenseman maybe. The author said Dan Girardi or Marc Staal for Yakupov as an example of what the Oilers might be seeking.

oR mbya the CBJ, in the Edmonton journal there was a blurb about CBJ shopping defenceman Nikita Nikitin. He was projected to be a top 4 D.

its sure nice to think about but my gut tells me he'd have a warm and welcome spot in Sutter's doghouse

AMart would welcome him in a heart beat if it got him out of the doghouse.

We know what the Kings think of skill players. They need to learn to become checkers.

Who the hell decides what games to torture the national audience with on NBC Sports Network? This Flyers/Canes game is a snoozefest. Would've much preferred to see the Caps vs. Isles game on national TV.

What do you think it would cost to get Semin it says that he's played left wing and right-wing. A player like him has low value. This team needs an injection of creativity and shot capability. Semin is a sniper and a play maker.

Makes for great background noise while I'm working. Although listening to Flyers announcers slobbering every time Mason makes a save is a bit vomit inducing. Both goalies are having good games though.

Semin is owed $7M per season over the next four years. While he is a nice player and extremely talented, I don't see the Kings wanting to add a winger who comes with that kind of a cap hit unless they're adding a Patrick Kane like winger.
