Is the Monkey back in the building?

G:
Miller's play

B:
Miller's (and Enroth's) great play being wasted on a team that gives up tons of shots and has trouble scoring.

U:
Rolston's perfect hair was a tad mussed in the back. Very uncharacteristic. Maybe it's a harbinger of things to come?

Please get Miller traded where he'll have a chance to win.
46 shots on goal? Holy Christ.

It's humiliating at this point. It's not even an NHL product

Still don't understand why people try to argue and contradict a projection of 30 points being extremely realistic.

It's a rebuild. Of course it's going to be ugly at points.

Being competitive and rebuilding doesn't exactly go hand in hand.

Good -

- Ristolainen's physical game and overall confidence seems to have improved over the past few weeks.
- Girgensons hit on Pouliot.
- Silver lining: Rangers move 2 more points up in the standings.

Bad -

- The usual **** show.

Ugly -

- Ray's unlistenable commentary.
- My sunburn after snorkeling.

It feels like my ears are being pulverized by ice picks when I hear him try to eek out a coherent sentence.

I throw my hands up in the air some times
saying ohhh nooo
this team really does blow

I wanna stab my eyes out
with a knife
sayin ohh no
everyone must go

we gotta watch this crap
gotta watch every night
I wanna light this team up
with 4 tons of dynamite

Cause they told us once
then they told us twice
they gonna suck it up
night after night

yes it goes on and on and on
yes it goes on and on and on

Good:
-Miller. He's dialed in and he deserves better.
-Brian Flynn has been nothing but a pleasant surprise since the organization brought him in.
-I liked Myers' game.
-Ristolainen, save for a few first-period blunders. He is going to be an excellent player.
-Mark Pysyk is just a quality player.
-Zemgus' big hit.
-Brassard has impressed post-Columbus.
-Overall, I liked Hodgson. In two games away from Vanek, his line's defensive play has been much better.

Bad:
-I'm guessing Grigorenko will be stapled to the bench against the Ducks. Lackadaisical.
-Leino.

Ugly:
-Rolston is awful.

Brian Duff mentioned that the stats were being all messed up. Players were being recorded as having taken 4 minute shifts, etc.

I wouldn't put any faith in those numbers. That's the arena statkeepers either missing stuff, or their system messing stuff up.

U: Rolston and the coaching staff in general. So glad to know we have Joe ****ing Sacco drawing up the plays at timeout. There is literally zero semblance of any kind of system in place here. We are incredibly passive in both zones and no one has any idea where anyone is for an outlet so 75% of our passes are just guys blindly throwing it where they hope someone will be.

Just some zone time, forechecking, and clean passing would be so refreshing once in a while. I'm really not sure what Rolston is trying to get them to do.

Fire Rolston, Fire Ray

Keep Sabretooth but make him brandish a Sabre wildly to make some aspect of the games more exciting.

Edit: it autocorrects s-a-b-e-r to S-a-b-r-e I know what I'm doing, message board. Let me live, man!

I think that'll come later in the season, once the young kids really get their footing......and once some of the non-performing vets are gone.

For now.....suffering.....

Grigs looks awesome he just can never get the puck. Once he starts to figure out where to be more and gets some better linemates I expect him to be deadly. You can see it everytime he has the puck.

Risto reminds me of a young Luke Schenn, very good physically and good outlet passes but very slow skating. His skating is going to need some serious work is he is going to more than a second pairing guy. But he has time and hopefully improves throughout the season.

Not even scoreboard watching anymore. This team ends up with pick 1, 2 or 3 overall. Honestly the gap between them and the 2nd worst team is huge. These guys cannot even make simple hockey plays.
