just watching stats usually sucks, but you couldn't even be bothered to do that?

Giroux has lit up a lot more guys than Fleury in the playoffs.

It's also worth noting that Los Angeles averages the 4th least amount of shots against per game. Low shots against always skews a goalie's Save%. Look at the weirdly low Save% of Harding, Brodeur, Fleury, Niemi and Halak - the goalies on the other 5 of the top 6 teams in shots against per game - considering their low GAA numbers.

Assuming they make the playoffs, not a given in the west....

I don't think many people are expecting the Kings to miss the playoffs. Sure, there's always an "if" but this is still virtually the same team that won a Cup in 2012 and made it to the WCF just last year.

Tough division, I get that, but the Kings always win when it counts and if that includes going on a winning streak to close the season and sneak in, they'll get it done. Lot of big game players on that team, including Quick.

It is not the same team without Scuderi and Bernier. I think they make it, but won't be surprised if they miss...

Penner was pretty clutch on the second line in the playoffs too.

Maybe the Kings beat the Blackhawks if they win those OT games. Maybe they face the Red Wings if the Blackhawks don't win a key game 7 in the second round. Come on now.
I've been told on this site that if the Kings didn't have to face the Blues, that they would've beaten the Blackhawks (not that I agree, I think the Blackhawks were the better team). It's certainly something that some Kings fans have brought up.

I think they will make the playoffs too, but its ridiculous that they are sitting in 9th place in the west right now... with 20 points.

There is gonna be one really good team, from the pacific divison, that misses the playoffs.

1 elite season.

Terribly overrated.
I like how you're conveniently omitting his playoff performances. You know, the big games. Still no goalie in the league that comes close to matching his last 2 playoffs.

He'll arrive with the buds, as per usual.

That's fine - that's what the Ducks are for.

his playoff numbers are amazing the last couple seasons, regular season not so much.

If at the Olympics (another big stage) he gets lit up I think LA might have a problem.
