Getting Seguin away from Marchand was the best thing for his development and maturity. Those two were by all accounts trouble together.

But nothing like Seguin if those rumors are true.
Part of where the Habs wanted Subban to "grow up" was in terms of being on time(as in 15 minutes before) for meetings, practices etc plus the more individiual celebrations and other stuff, playing more of a team game, picking his spots when to pinch or jump up.

The fact that it wasn't about partying was a good thing though, that can be hard to shake in some players.

Kadri's suspension is a blessing for Scott tonight, otherwise the laffs would have to hold him back from unleashing his wrath on Scott

I'm kinda hoping there's a brawl in the Leafs/Sabres game tonight but it will likely be a tame game with only be a couple of minor penalties called.

Back to the Kadri hit on Backstrom.. After seeing the angle in this gif earlier today I didn't realize the impact on Backstrom's head was as severe as it was.. Kadri got him in the head worse than I thought he did and he's lucky he only got 3 games IMO.

Wait, that was our Phillipe Lefebvre? Whatever happened for him to end up being traded between FLA and CHI? Was he in the Parros trade or something?

He was such an amazing prospect, I'm sure Bergevin is already biting his nails

Didn't like Olsen at all in my limited viewings. Lefebbvre is basically a contract.
Kevin is the better of the Hayes brothers (Kevin was Hawks 1st round pick in 2010)

Should be joining Hawks organization in summer

I always maintained that he was related to someone in the Gauthier administration to get a contract. Gauthier is in Chicago now. Makes sense.

I'm surprised MB didn't give him an extension.

Then they should've traded Marchand...

No. What people were saying is that Versteeg was DONE. A DONE player isn't a good fit for anybody. If the said player, while smaller, would be an awesome player, I'd trade for him, and get rid of all the other smaller players. Versteeg was struggling...we'll see if he can get his tough back with a great team like the Hawks....unless the depth is so great there that he still isn't able to put up points. We'll see. I didn't really believe he was done, he is clearly slowing down. And it could be a good trade for the Hawks, I do believe Hayes could amount to something.

Nice to see them ****up for a change.
Problem with Boston ****ing up in a trade is that they still are able to get something valuable AND they don't suffer from a ****ed up. That's even more frustrating......Chiarelli will never suffer from bad trades until his team win. The day they start losing, and can't get some young players going and witness Seguin doing wonders...THEN he'll be criticized. But I don't see that happening soon.

Time to checkout a little bit of that train wreck known as the Edmonton Oilers for a while.

The West is really kicking our ass. The Bruins are the 2nd best team in the East and they would'nt make the playoffs in the West. I know there are other variables, but still... Vancouver is on par for a 97 pts season, but would be out of the playoffs.

I think the elbow of Sedeinberg on Ryan can bring him a suspension. It was intentional.

I just missed the play but heard the Sens guys discussing it when I turned on the Sens/Bruins game. Gonna have to find a video.

Edit.. Just watched the play.. Should've been a penalty for sure but not sure if it's suspension worthy IMO. Don't think I've ever seen anyone do that with their legs after being hit like Ryan did though. That was a little bizarre TBH.

Just saw a different angle and maybe a 1 game suspension might be in order for that hit.

Oilers looking hot!

Joking, they're unraveling. 2 goals against in 2 minutes.

What does that even mean? Who doesn't party in their life?

This applies to any young person. I'm young, not rich, not in the NHL, not necessarily with a lot of free time, but you could call me a party boy too by your definition. Does that mean I'm not a professional and I can't show up and deliver at work? Not at all.

1-0.

I remember the job he did with the islanders while being a crappy team. great pick-up, and he'll teach the young players how to play in the nhl.

I always liked nolan.
