OV definitely punched first on that play, then McLeod went after him, the refs dived on ovechkin to protect him, and brouwer then threw McLeod down

should have been coincidental with another 2 on brouwer, but end result would have still been a PP for the avs

just watched it again...the only possible way you could have consider the first punch to be thrown by McLeod was when he was trying to catch his balance and waiving his arms, almost looks like Ovechkin dived again as soon as McLeod started trying to hit back, I don't know how to make a gif but if you have GCL it's at 2:23 of the avs feed

I loved his kick, but I love top players who really bring the gamesmanship. It's why Luis Suarez is one of my favorite soccer players outside of the BuLi, and it's why that kick was hilarious. Especially with the way he tried to play it off, I could swear I heard him whistling inconspicuously as he did.

So I guess we are winning 70 games this year. Can't they just give us the cup now?

Regardless of it being right or not, usually the reaction gets you trouble. Gotta have discipline. I can't tell you how many reactionary penalties I took even if I wasn't the original culprit.

What? Ovy punched first and then fell down the second McLeod tried to hit back.
I'm beginning to think you're blind

I know what you mean. It's just that the entire game felt slanted up hill for the Caps.

It's over. Good luck to the Avs going forward.

Next.

All we've gotta do is make sure that in a heavily built up heel turn, Franzen and Cammy retire from the NHL midseason to join the KHL.

The Avs now are two wins away from last years total. And eleven points away. I think we might be better.

What's that supposed to mean? Ovy hit him first plain and simple.

And the ice was awful, I'll give you that.

Little known fact, Pepsi Center uses compacted snow, not ice.

Nah...no one will acknowledge that while we beat scrub teams like Boston, TML, Penguins, Capitals, and Habs....those teams are all awful. Our strength of schedule is so easy...

Oh wait...

Honeslty Caps fans...all you had to do was whine less than your captain...and you couldnt even do that. Give the Avs some credit...the team worked HARD tonight. The Caps have a hell of a PP and we somehow killed a 5-3.

Caps will be fine...Ovi will keep diving. Stop complaining and move on to the next game.

Hey Avs fans, take Roy's advice and stay 'umble. If we're gonna have an orgy of Avs hockey let's do it on our own board.

Some of our fans are boasting a little too much. This thread should close soon considering it has gone way off topic and nothing constructive to talk about anymore.
