Ivan Novoseltsev?

This guy has a ton of talent just hasn't put it all together, he's got good size at 6'2 and 210lbs, he does have defensive shortcomings, but with our lack of goal scoring he could be a good pickup? anbody agree?

a couple of other players I looked at who aren't protected...

Darren Langdon, Eric Boulton, Tyler Bouck, Todd Harvey

his name is coming up a lot on OUR lists of players to consider for the waiver draft.

i'm starting to think that we couldn't possibly be the only ones who like the prospect of having this kid in the mix. he is one of the more attractive players on the wire. i have the feeling he'll be long gone before Gainey picks on friday. even if Gainey were interested, he won't be there. ~pessimist.

just for fun, what do you think of 3rd line of Novoseltsev - Kilger - Ward? playing with high-energy guys seems to pick Kilger up. i think he plays better when he feels he's getting a chance to play "important" hockey. but then again, it has proven impossible to come up with any principle based on the behaviour of Mr. Chad Kilger, Mr. Inconsistent.

Same here I doubt he'll be there when we pick, he's got way to much talent to be left unclaimed too long and teams know this, however if by some chance he's available when we pick, I think BG should not pass up on this guy...

BTW in what order does the draft go? and when do we pick?

Sometimes if I eat spicy foods, I need to take a Novoseltsev.

I know, I know, I should grow up.

Same as the entry draft I beleive (but this time Carolina gets the 1st pick). Montreal would be 10th.

And the 1st round is only for the teams who didn't make the playoffs last year.

Jeff Heerema as been left unprotected, i think we should grab him if Novoseltsev is took already.. wich probably be the case.. if Hereema isnt available then go for Green..

My second waiver draft prediction (first one being Ivan Novoseltsev will be the first player choosen) :

Karl Dyhkuis WILL be picked up by somebody. He isn't overpaid and could help a team needed a veteran 5th/6th/7th type guy.

My third waiver draft prediction:

Montreal will not make a pick up, simply because any player they would be interested in will be gone by the time thay choose. Don't see Montreal having any interest in picking up a veteran. Only players that I could see interesting Mtl are Novoseltsev type (skilled younger players). Don't see any left by the time we choose.

Tell me if what I said is stupid.

But Serge Aubin isn't protected by Colorado and the Habs need someone with good overall skills. He is gritty and show a great forecheck.
The Habs could use a player like that for is 4th line.
