Stealing Points in San Jose

The Good -

- Ennis-Hodgson- Moulson offensively really clicked.
- Myers. I liked his game tonight -- good jump offensively, calm clearing his own zone, some physical play. Not mistake free, but active.
- Stafford with some finish. Must be Furry Night again.
- Larsson takes down Kennedy, seemed to take Kennedy off his game.
- McCormick with another early tilt and a goal
- Hodgson's SO winner.

The Bad -

- Still getting owned in possession.
- Ennis-Hodgson-Moulson defensively are just a mess.
- Pysyk with a rare gaff leading to a rare goal against with him on the ice.
- Getting owned at the dot. What else is new?
- Blowing a lead... twice. That's new -- they rarely have a lead, let alone two in one game!
- Stafford blowing the clear on the 4th Shark goal. Come on Drew.

The Ugly -

- Kennedy's nose.
- Nearly blowing it.
- A goal against that diidn't get counted? Holy crap. The Sharks should be pissed off.

What are the chances everybody here just nodded off in the 2nd and this was just a dream....and we'll all wake up in the morning to find out the Sabres lost, of course, by 5?

Obligatory: Tallinder is no stranger to being part of a luge team.

Real quick:

Good - Won a game against a very good western conference team.
lovin' foligno's game.
this is the first game where you could see marginal improvement in some areas (passing especially)

Bad - pro-tank fans know that this is two points we can't give back.
puck possession is still pretty poor.
rob ray makes my ears sad.

Ugly - it's 1:30 and i have to be up at 3 to go take my father to the airport. Tomorrow is going to be a long long day.

G:
A win against a top team - maybe dial down all the bashers in the media a bit
Entertaining game that was fun to watch
hustle, fight, competitive drive from the team
Myers
Miller
Larsson
Girgs
McBain
'hoff
Point for Matt Moulson to keep his numbers up

B:
blowing lead (almost imploding)
faceoffs

U:
No goal call in OT
What every Sharks fan must be feeling right now

Looks like the Sharks actually scored in OT, but nobody knew. Sucks for both teams actually.

G:
Winning!
Good puck movement from what I could see. Looks like the kids are starting to figure it out. Like they're realising they don't have to apologize for being out there any more.
Ennis' best game so far?
Hodgsons penalty shot.
Power Play looked better than at any time earlier this season. While that doesn't say much, it's something.

B:
Blowing leads.
Unable to keep oponents away from the crease.

U:
Movember! Seriously, if you're not George Parros, a moustasche isn't for you.
Ott without a beard.

G:
They kept trying to sneak past the Sharks d between the stretch passes and the far-side winger jumping up ice any time there was a 50/50 battle with no teal sweaters back.

Cody freakin McCormick

Actual forechecking

The bottom nine is actually pretty sweet combination of physicality and just not enough offense to blow up the tank if Foligno sticks at center. Word to all of LGS/OFT/LMF

Risto is going to absolutely start murdering dudes when he bulks up. He just totally understands the angles that go into open ice hitting and it rules.

Hodgson's shootout move

B

D zone coverage

MEH in their own end

U

The 65 game win streak this team is about to go on.

The great thing about that picture is that I can almost see Thornton looking toward the net seeing two guys wide open and thinking WTF? While at the same time the Sharks in front of the goal are thinking the same thing.

That's a perfect image of what Miller and Enroth must feel like, all the time.

Who needs Manny, Moe, and Jack when you have Myers, Moulson, and Hank?
