Teams with best collection of G prospects?

Which team do you think has the best collection of goalie prospects? Ducks (Gibson and Andersen), Pens (Jarry and Murray) and Sens (Lehner and Driedger) come to mind for me.

Avs have Pickard, Aittokallio, Millan and Martin all with NHL potential. I can easily see at least one of them becoming a #1, and they could all very well end up being good #2's especially with Allaire and his staff working with them.

Blues have Allen, Binnington, and Lundstrom. Allen's pretty much NHL ready, Binnington is some pretty decent potential, and Lundstrom has been playing very well in Sweden.

I don't think we have best collection of G prospects though.

Pretty much every team has a collection of at last decent G prospects, which is why G prospects don't generally get much return in trades.

EDIT: For example the Flames have Gillies, Ortio and Brossoit. I wouldn't say it's likely the best group, but they've all got potential. With goalies it's always hard to tell.

Tampa has Vasilevskiy, Janus in the KHL, Gudlevski in the AHL and Wilcox in the NCAA all playing really well.

John Gibson and Andrei Vasilevski are probably best overall goaler prospect, but Avs probably have the best depth.

Varlamov (Still fairly young, if you consider NHL potential)
Pickard
Aittokallio
Martin
Millan
Patterson

Not all these goalers will make it to the NHL and some might eventually be traded, but until then we will let them play out.

Id say a goalie like gibson or vasilevsky automatically makes your crop top 3. So tampa ana and... calgary. lehner doesnt count to me

Goalie market is so fickle. You can't really point out any one team above another until they become bona fide professionals.

Agreed, although Tampa has a nice stable after Vasilevskiy as well, we're still banking on Vasilevskiy being the guy.

Andersen and Gibson are great talents for the Ducks. Bobkov used to be highly thought of, but he's pretty much played himself out of the AHL and into the ECHL. Maybe that was also because of the depth we have, but we'll have a hole to fill in Norfolk next season with Andersen graduating to the NHL full time.

Bobkov wasn't in the ECHL because he played himself out. He was just lower on the depth chart than Andersen and Gibson. He has played and done well in the A during Andersen's absence. He's just not playing well enough to jump ahead of the other two.

Murray is 1st in both save% (.930) and GAA (2.11) in the OHL. Jarry is 1st in GAA (2.09) and 4th in save% (.920) in the WHL (after a terrible start). Hartzell had a 1.57 GAA and a 933 save% in the ECAC (NCAA) last year. Maguire has a 2.03 GAA and a .941 save% in the NCAA this year, and had a 2.54 GAA and a .926 save% last year as a freshman. It's not like I'm saying the Oilers are up there (their G prospect depth is atrocious), the Pens have good G prospects.

Sure. But Anaheim is looking pretty good with Andersen having the best NHL rookie goaltending stats so far and Gibson having some of the best AHL stats as a rookie. People keep saying Bobkov though. I think at best he can be an occasionally serviceable back up.

Jets after two drafts are putting together a decent stable with Hellebuyck and Comrie. It's too bad Kasdorf is out for the year after he was also very good last year.

The best is hard to go with. Obviously TB and Anaheim come to mind because of the two guys leading the pack in their systems. Although, as the past shows us it's really impossible to predict.

I'd also go with Nashville. Goalies and Nashville just seem synonymous.

This is one of those things were almost every fan is going to name out their team. But seriously. Tampa Bay.

Vasilevsky needs no introduction. One of the top 2-3 goaltending prospects on the planet earth.

Adam Wilcox: 39GP for Minnesota in 12-13 posting .921 SV% and 1.88 GAA. Picked right back up this year going 1.64 and .938 so far this season.

Kristers Gudlevskis: First season in NA and doing very well for himself so far. 1.50 GAA and .934 SV% over 2 games (both wins) in the ECHL and has pretty handily outplayed (IMO) AHL veteran Cedrick Desjardins. He's gone 3-0, 1 shutout, a 2.21 SV% and a .914 GAA with the Crunch. Small sample size obviously, but this kid was drafted to go directly to the farm. He could be playing Helenius/Desjardins out of a spot, hopefully Desjardins.

Add in Riku Helenius and Jaroslav Janus, you've got a crapton of talent between the pipes. Janus has had a poor year so far in the KHL after playing incredibly last season and Helenius is looking more and more like he's not going to ever stick as more than an AHL backup in NA. Still possible though.

Tampa is good, but the right answer is Anaheim.

Tampa, Anaheim, and I think CBJ has a pretty good bunch with the HF prospect of the month in Dansk, Korpisalo, and Anton Forsberg.

The Blues have Jake Allen, Jordan Binnington and Niklas Lundstrom. We're pretty happy with the progess of all three.

Anaheim because they have two potential stars.
