Sorry I am posting this on here now but Tuesday night I had such a headache I went right to bed after NCIS....anyway was flipping back and forth and I KNEW Cappy was gonna start Nabby against the Caps...so typical of him.....does he not get the picture that Nabby has been absolutely horrible lately? Poulon SO better be in net tonight I swear to God....
Let's get the win tonight, we need this one bad because like others have said, the rangers are getting hot. Big 2 points and I expect another big game from Johnny and the first line. Tavares loves playing the canes.
How 'bout us Isles fan enjoy having a hockey game tonight... Its fun regardless... I am getting old my perspective on fandom is changing the last couple of years. Yes, I get upset when the Isles, Jets, 6ers, O's, or Seton Hall loses, BUT I let it go after 5 mins for a regular season game. 30 minutes for a loss to a rival or when in attendance. 1-2 hours for a brutal playoff loss.

This is really no different than most around here, just substitute "days" for "minutes" and "decades" for "hours".
me thinks poulin is going to play. Cappy is very slow to make changes. I think his default setting when things are going wrong is not to "panic" but he takes it to the extreme. Just say we are going to give nabby a few days off because hes a bit off his game and let poulin play, it doesnt have to be this big thing, which he seems to think it is. Hopefully poulin plays well tonight, makes the saves we need him to make (nothing fancy) and cappy finally lets him play some more....
Donovan has a hip injury so if he can't go that means we are gonna have both Carkner and Ness out there.
I take it that since McDonald is in that Nelson is sitting? Impossible to know what the mindset of the kid is, but I don't how anyone can say he has gotten a fair shake at the beginning of the year. It's one thing if you sit the rookie when there are experienced players at least playing equally as good as a rookie but I think we have all seen PMB stink up the joint. I personally like having a veteran leadership presence in the lineup but we need one from an winning organization. I think alot of the 3rd period losses is due to not having leadership that knows how to close out a game.
the only thing Tavares needs to do is to start passing the puck in the offensive zone. He's trying to do everything by himself when he's being covered by 3 or 4 guys. Talk about telegraph
That's not the only telegraphing: Islanders defense always try and clear the defensive zone by winding it around the boards, so forwards or defensemen stand there and await the pass. The forwards always do the no look drop pass on rushes, so opposing forwards jump the play and intercept.
