Don't expect to score or win much as you can tell by our record and low GF.

4-3 win against NYI followed up by getting shutout vs Vancouver.
3-4 loss to Dallas followed up by getting shutout vs NYR.
5-4 win against San Jose followed up by getting shutout to LA.

We have scored more than 3 goals twice all season and 3 out of the 5 times we have scored at least 3 we have gotten shutout the next game.

This teams offense is horrible. Everything goes through Hodgson and if he isn't scoring or assisting the team isn't scoring.

Team should be more concerned with replacing the existing strength and conditioning coach, hire a power skating expert and maybe a ex red wings player from them 90s teams they had to teach this team how to pass the puck.

My god, this teams passing is not even at a ahl level. If you want to believe they have improved be m guest.

Thoroughly outskated by a mile again.

Eat some freakin wheaties or something !

Well, we are getting lots of experience playing with the goalie pulled this year.

The problem is we lack hockey skill. When you have a team full of energy guys, the passing and finishing is going to suck.

Not sure if you haven't been paying attention, but this team isn't going to win much. What they're trying to do is get the kids to work hard -- it's why Grigorenko isn't in the lineup because he's not working hard enough or smart enough. When he starts working as hard as the so-called "energy guys", he'll start making a difference. Until then, he's not effective in any aspect at this level.

If they want someone out there they need to fly out in the AM...from ROC to SNA

you're acting as if Foligno/girgs/Larsson/Flynn/Tropp have topped out their potential as bottom 6 energy guys at best...they lack "finish" and NHL level passing because not one of them has a full season under their belts...they are young like the entire team is and they are learning. At least while they go through their growing pains they are leading the team in energy and playing like they want it. I'd rather that than a skilled 25 goal scorer foating during a down year and dampening the development of the young kids.

Not much to be expected….. Sabres are basically a team made up of rookies (18/19/20/21 yr olds), journeyman 3rd/4th liners , a number of chronic underachievers,a star goalie and 1 0r 2 as yet unfulfilled prospects playing against a big, physical and talented team two years removed from winning the Stanley Cup. Boys against men.

This game clearly demonstrates what the Sabres lack in terms of skills, size and talent.

Which is OK as long as it is used as a blueprint for development and improvement.

But this current mix/recipe of players is not going to mature together as a group in a blue and gold uniform.

It's going take yet a few more moves and changes before this pile of poop starts to stop stinking up the place.

P.S. Anyone see Kassian's play on his goal tonight???? A real beauty.
