Ask a Pregame show Question (Ott/PHI)

Every pre game show we get the experts point of view on what is happening on the Senators. We know that most of them read HFBoards for material and to gauge what the fan base is thinking.

Let's see if we can get one of our questions put up for discussion.

Write a well thought out question that you want to be addressed on the pre game for the next game Ottawa VS Philly.

I heard from some sources that the Sens changed their locker room music this year. Last year it was more hip hop and this year it's more Dubstep. Do you think that could have something to do with the decline in their play?

How about MacLean uses a more conservative style since we're geting shelled constantly. Or how about dressing Wiercioch once in a while for more puck movement?

What are Norris odds for Karlsson at the moment?
Is Anderson's baldness an issue with Karlsson having such nice flow and Lehner with a full head of hair and beard?

Only shape that will prevent the cover from falling into its own hole.

Guys, I don't think Mendez will take you guys seriously.

He is a diehard Sens fan and should be treated like a true professional.

I have it on good authority that he loves HFB and uses it a lot.

I would like Mendez to ask the other panelists if they had to come up with a trade to improve this roster what they would do. Now, this is not the type of question you can answer on the spot so he would need to give them a heads up so they can cap geek their way to the best solution. Keeping in mind of the teams cap issues I think it would be fun for them to play GM on the radio. I think the consensus ids that we need a puck moving Dman and a forward to play with Spezza.

Now this all hinges on the team not making any trades of course.

I would love to hear what our resident GM would do if he is on.

The media have been noticeably reserved when it comes to objectively evaluating Jared Cowen's play thus far.

He has been consistently underwhelming and detrimental, and yet he's more or less received a pass. A few critiques here and there, but pretty tame compared to the flak other players receive.

Mendes himself addressed Cowen the other day on a pre-game show, and said that fans are left wanting more from him only because expectations are higher relative to his new contract.

The way I look at it, however, is that if he was still on his entry level like we all thought he was going to be at the start of the offseason, he'd be in Binghamton by now. 800k, 3 million, whatever, the guy flat out tilts the ice in the wrong direction every time he steps out there.

When does he get put in the press box? Does he get traded? Answer me!

Will Greening ever score again or will he be bought out right when his new contract starts?
How do we plan on acquiring players if were over our internal cap already?
Why dont we have our AHL team play our NHL team to see who's better?
Is DaCosta finished with the sens? Same for the hoff.

Why is Chris Philips getting powerplay time? I understand that he does have a few PP points this season, but his offensive abilities leave a lot to be desired, and our special teams are lacking as is.

Gryba, Cowen, Philips, and Methot all need to be nastier in front of our own net, especially on the penalty kill, but so far they are being overshadowed by Borowiecki, who actually throws the body. I saw Gryba try a couple of times recently to land a bit hit, but he misses. Are the Sens D-men all too timid to throw the body because of the pathetic decision by Shanahan and company to suspend Gryba in the playoffs last season? Why isn't the stupidity of that suspension pointed out more often when people complain about the hit and act like Eller was a victim and Gryba is some unfeeling monster?

Why is Greening still getting any ice time at all? He's built like a bull, but never tries to throw the big hit, or go and fight guys. He plays soft, despite being a physical beast. He should be benched, and maybe even traded if he can't be made to play with some sandpaper.
